It does what it's supposed to! At least, in my case. The driver/connection is sometimes buggy with windows but it doesn't cause any actual problems when using it.

Don't waste your time

One of them began to heavily distort the image of my display (not permanently damaging), and the other plain did not connect a signal. Tried the connection with a separate DP cord and it worked out alright. I have had many issues with these Insignia brand connectors with both mac and dell computers for various applications. Don't waste your time, buy from somewhere else.
