It connects to a j5create JCD401 USB4 Dual 4K Multi-Port Hub that is connected to a mac book air. Works as designed and no issues.

Where we camp, there is seldom WiFi so we can now download movies and tv series to the tablet and watch on the tv (which is much larger) so we can all watch. Set up was very easy.

I use this with my surface laptop for office work but for gaming laptop it does not work well.

Insignia USB C to HDMI Adapter issue

However, does not support HDR. This should be noted in the specifications. Ended up purchasing a Microsoft certified USB-C to Display Port adapter (HDMI version not in stock) and with that get HDR on my Samsung ViewFinity S8 4K monitor purchased through Best Buy for a great price ($179.99).
