I plugged it in and did not automatically play, only showed my wallpaper screen. I needed to hit Ctrl+ Full screen to cast completely= then it worked just fine.

I went to hook up my existing monitor and realized that it was not compatible with the Surface Dock 2, which does not have a HDMI port. I thought I was going to have to buy a new monitor until I found this adapter. The adapter was an easy and inexpensive fix.
