There were no signs of faulty connection or anything, One day it just did not connect. It appears to be with the USB-C side as my monitor does seem to recognize when it's plugged into the HDMI port. But unfortunately no connection once I plug the C port into my laptop. I was hoping I'd get more than ~14 months use out of this, so maybe I had a faulty adapter. I had no issues during the time period when it worked.
