I actually had to return an adapter I had bought that was not compatible with my needs (I bought it the night before, 20 minutes before closing, paid using Apple Pay, and did not ask for a receipt). The associates understood my dilemma and kindly helped me with my return despite not having a receipt and not using a physical card.
