I am using the Insignia Multi-LUN SD4.0 MicroSD UHS-II USB-C USB-A Card Reader to read a Sony Tough SD card that's capable of 300MB/s read speeds. The card reader seems to work well and the transfer of files from the card to my PC seems very fast, especially with a UHS-II SD card. The USB-C cable is certainly heavy duty and probably longer than it really needs to be, but no complaints. The cable comes with a USB-C to USB-A adapter for PCs or laptops that lack a USB-C port. The card reader operates at USB 3.2 Gen 1, which is capable of 5 Gbps. While not the fastest out there, it's certainly not an issue. The card reader itself seems solid, built to hold up to use. It has a small blue LED that lets you know it's connected to your PC or laptop. It has rubber feet to protect your desktop as well. While the markings don't indicate which way to insert the cards, the labels should face the top of the reader which makes perfect sense. Overall, the Insignia card reader is perfect for using with my laptop both at home or out and about.

This is a great device for all those memory cards you have of different formats. This was a replacement for a similar device that the CF card slot worn out. Since most computers don't have SD/CF slots this is almost a requirement for your SD/CF cards to upload/download data.

The factory SD card slot failed on my new MacBook Pro. Instead of turning my Mac into Apple for two weeks to have it repaired, I just opted to get one of these. It's very lightweight and works flawlessly.

It's a perfect device for my work. I'm in video production and immediately after finish a location video shoot we transfer files to hard drives so they are carefully preserved. I do the same with still photography shoots. So this helps me with efficiencies and ensures I don't lose my footage if something happens to the media card. Also, why I love coming to Best Buy. I was in a bit of a hurry and the sales associate knew exactly what I needed and found it for me quickly.

Works as advertised. Solid product with durable and thick USB cable. Not flimsy.

Does what it says it does, exactly what I needed to upload my camera sd cards to my laptop. Would definitely buy again.

Easy to setup and use. Just plugged it in to my Mac mini and the reader showed up and operated without any problems.

The Insignia card reader is an easy and convenient way to transfer images and information from one device to another. I use it to download pictures from the 'community camera' at a local nonprofit organization to a computer and then into a shared cloud folder. Easy and intuitive to use. Comes with an adapter to fit USB A or C devices. Small size makes it easy to tuck into a drawer or onto shelf so it is always handy and ready when you need it.

Purchased this because I had to use a different laptop that didn't have an SD slot. This came in clutch and it works great!

My wife and I got new phones and she wanted to back up her photos. I moved them to a micro SD card. No problem! Got the new phone...no micro SD slot. D'oh! This device saved the day. Worked great, would highly recommend it.

This Insignia USB-C to SD, microSD, and CompactFlash reader really delivers. The build is solid, setup is plug-and-play, and most importantly the read/write speeds are exactly as advertised. UHS-II SD cards and high-speed microSDs transfer quickly without any slowdown. Having both USB-C and the included USB-A adapter makes it versatile across devices. Great performance and reliability at a very fair price.

The device that I bought which is a SD reader works perfect.

I needed a way to transfer videos & photos from both my drone and trail camera sd cards. I wanted the capability of transferring files to my phone & computer. purchased a cheap sd card reader from Cabela’s, that had a built in micro sd cord and it stoped working after only a few weeks. Then I purchased one from bestbuy that is cord-less and it would not work without taking off my phone case (witch was very inconvenient). The bestbuy team in Logan Utah was great on helping me exchange the one that was inconvenient to use and helped me find this one. This product is the best of both worlds as it is compact & has a removable micro sd cord. It is also better built then the other 2 I tried. The micro sd card inserts into the reader and locks in without the possibility of falling out before your finished. I would highly recommend this product.
