We needed a standalone microphone but didn't really want to spend upwards of $100 on one. The Insignia mic produces really solid audio, and at only $40 was a pretty good deal. It'd be nice to see even a 20-30 dollar option, but I've been really pleased with the quality of the audio from the mic so I don't mind the little extra.

Bought this to try to get away from headphones with mics built it because inevitably the microphone gives out but the headphones still work. So so far they work great! My friends can hear me good but I had alot of adjusting to do on my laptop because my friends could hear not just me but also background noise. I have been only been using for 3 weeks. For the price, it's a good deal.

This microphone is easy to use right out of the box. The sound quality is decent for the price. I use it for work but it’s a great beginner mic for all uses.

I use this for my online violin lessons. Having good audio pickup is important, and this mic does the job perfectly. Sinple setup, just plug in and go.

Best bang for your buck. Works just as good as the more expensive units. Bought this for wife's work at home office. Always have good experiences with the BestBuy in house brand.

If your looking for a microphone to do podcast or YouTube videos or streaming videos but u don’t want to spend a lot of money on a microphone just yet then I would Suggest this microphone for it only being $40 it works amazing and it sounds nice n clear.

Easy set up crisp clear operation. price was more than fair comes with base and setup guide and usb interface cable. The mike is rather heavy and sits well on the desk, has a red / blue indicator light to let you know if the channel is open.

I actually bought this mic along with software I had to calibrate my home theater speakers. This mic has a wide enough frequency response range for me to do so. It worked perfectly. It's great looking and easy to use. My home theater has never sounded better.

I was skeptical that this would make a difference in my audio quality but I stand corrected. It sounds ten times better than the computer microphone. I am mainly using it for Zoom calls but it's nice to know that it is also podcast quality if I want to use it for that too. All in all, money well spent.

This USB Microphone is great and works good but it is really sensitive when you plug it in your desktop did not try it on a laptop but on the desktop it works good but really sensitive. It is really complicated if you want to change the settings and everything but if you want to just plug and speak with people then it is a good buy but really expensive.

My daughter's new laptop computer did not come with a microphone built in and so we purchased this USB Insignia Microphone so she could effectively communicate with her now online classes and this microphone works well. I would recommend this microphone to family & friends.

We bought this for our virtual happy hours because the PC microphone was spotty on picking up our voices when not 100% directly in front of the laptop. Now I can yell from across the house when getting another bottle of wine even. Awesome! Plugged it in and it worked. Nothing to do to make it work.

I recently purchased a webcam with a microphone for Zooming and was constantly being told my volume was low. So I purchased this stand alone microphone .The first time I used it was told what a huge difference it made . Sound was clear and sharp. Very happy with this microphone.

This is small microphone that has own stand. It is actually cheap but the quality is great. The sound is loud and clear. I use it for zoom conferencing. It eliminates the background noise. It was referred to us by a friend since I have gc for best buy. Good choice to try.

Does not feel like a cheap mic. Got some weight to it. Sound quality is excellent--significantly better than headsets or webcams. If you're a gamer, skype user, or amateur podcaster, get this and save some $$$. Your audience wont know the difference.
