On my laptop I do not have a plug in for a Ethernet cable, only a usb. So this product comes in handy quite frequently.

Laptop to Modem

My home wifi is slow (my choice to not pay as much for faster) so I was able to get this to plug my laptop directly into the modern in hopes videos and such will download faster.

Manufacturers are leaving off ports in favor of thin and light. This is a solution if you want the speed of a wired connection.

How is one supposed to load a disk? Thankfully they still make the adapters so that we can have an external one.

Works for the switch

Wired network is now on my switch! (Just make sure it’s fully plugged in, as I couldn’t find out why it didn’t work for me at first)

Not too long which probably makes sense, since the intranet cable themselves are typically long.
