Honestly considering it's not advertised to work on the Switch and the Answer's page on Best Buy's website has someone who said that it wouldn't work, I can now confirm that it won't work on the Nintendo Switch, but again it works great on my Surface Pro, so I'd say 4/5, works as intended.

I bought the Insignia USB 3.0 gigabyte ethernet adapter for my HP laptop that has a garbage WIFI card installed from the factory that has known issues that were never fixed by manufacturer. So far the adapter has surpassed my expectations, in addition providing my laptop with the advertised speeds from my ISP and improved latency times.

newer laptops don't have a cat5 internet slot. This high speed USB/cat5 connector will solve that issue.

Does what its supposed to do. Seems to work fine, connects fine. Haven't had any issues on several devices, so I would recommend, especially for the price.

Great little usb to ethernet adapter. I had a laptop that did not have a usb port and I was able to use this. It's very cheap and small and can easily fit in your pocket.
