Ugh. Hate that I need this but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So newer super thin laptops like mine are moving away from output options and are instead requiring these adapters to get the output type you need. NOT convenient but not the fault of the device per say which is why I put three stars. But the fact is that these and ANY type of adapter device is just one more handshake that your devices have to make and of course that increases your odds of issues.

Does what it’s supposed to do

Also, most other alternatives have threaded holes for the vga plug to screw into. This one does not, allowing for the possibility that the vga plug could disconnect while in use. A glaring omission on a device selling for nearly double the price of its competitors.
