This adapter is intended for situations where you have a VGA output on a device and need to connect it to a new HDMI monitor. It works great, even with a thin client that only has VGA output to connect to an HDMI monitor or TV. The lack of drivers is a huge advantage, especially with thin clients where loading drivers might not be feasible.

I was frustrated to learn that there was only a two week return window. People have busy lives and this is sometimes unrealistic to think that we can get back to your store in this amount of time. Please consider readjusting to 30 days.

I had to get this to work on my computer.

Everything works perfectly now. My older computer tower doesn’t have a HDMI port and my new monitor has a HDMI port but no old screw in port, this has me up and running.

Absolutely worked to resolve my dual monitor needs

This resolved my issue and I did not need to use the usb (that's for sound as I recall). Though it should be noted, this device will only support up to 1080p which means that my monitors have two different resolutions. I'm not willing to dumb down both to match. But since I use it for work, it's not an issue. If you need the screens to match at a higher resolution, you will need to look at upgrading your graphics card as the limitation is the VGA output, not this adapter.

I love the bass… and all of its sound, I like to feel the beat within my soul… and these do it. Only thing is it can be difficult to take them out. Other that that… perfect… including the price !

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had purchased a new HP wide screen monitor to serve as a laptop viewer and the VGA connector from the monitor to the would not support 60 hz, 1920 x 1080 resolution, even though the option was offered via the video card support drivers. Monitor only supports 1920 x 1080 60hz via HDMI input. This device allows an HDMI connection to the VGA port on the laptop, and presto, 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 hz. After setting up and fine tuning, both laptop and monitor are happy and work properly together, even after disconnection.
