Not a hard review. Product works as designed. Takes a VGA signal and converts it to an HDMI with power from a USB A connection.

I needed to run dual monitors for my home office but only had a VGA output and one HDMI. This resolved my issue and I did not need to use the usb (that's for sound as I recall). Though it should be noted, this device will only support up to 1080p which means that my monitors have two different resolutions. I'm not willing to dumb down both to match. But since I use it for work, it's not an issue. If you need the screens to match at a higher resolution, you will need to look at upgrading your graphics card as the limitation is the VGA output, not this adapter.

I had an OLD computer with a HDMI port. I tried connecting it to a TV using the HDMI. It would not work nor see it. I was going to get a USB to HDMI converter when I saw this. I was a little nervous about it. It hooked up easy and works great.

I recently purchased my husband a widescreen HD Monitor for his laptop but the laptop only had the old attachment a salesman at the Best Buy in Port Richey told me this was the best item that I could use and he was absolutely correct it was easy to install and I had my husband up and going immediately

Got it for a monitor. Does what it says. It does need the usb connected too.

Installed by Dish Technician and the VGA to HDMI Adapter has performed exceptionally well. It was reasonably priced and well worth the investment.

I had purchased a new HP wide screen monitor to serve as a laptop viewer and the VGA connector from the monitor to the would not support 60 hz, 1920 x 1080 resolution, even though the option was offered via the video card support drivers. Monitor only supports 1920 x 1080 60hz via HDMI input. This device allows an HDMI connection to the VGA port on the laptop, and presto, 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 hz. After setting up and fine tuning, both laptop and monitor are happy and work properly together, even after disconnection.

This adapter is the perfect connection from our new monitor to our old PC. Works like a charm! Also, the young man who waited on us was wonderful. He knew exactly what we needed and how to connect it. Good product and great customer service!

It does what it says it does. Best buy does have a good selection of adapters, but the in store inventory is low for some items. Bricks and mortar should have physical items for immediate purchase, not tags directing you to the internet. The JVC cameras are one example.

Works as expected. Helps us recover data from an old MacBook with broke display. Great device in a pinch.

Reasonable price, easy to attach, and great feature of an extra outlet for an HDMI cable. It's a little too short (the computer/laptop and monitor have to be very close together), or I would give it a five.

I needed an adaptor to connect a very old laptop that had a DVD player to our newer television. This worked fine. However, I was not told that in order for it to work, I would need to switch the volume manually on the computer to HDMI. This lack of direction caused me to need to bring it back before I could use it correctly. It would have been helpful to know that at the start.

The adapter was needed for an older monitor and it worked very well. Easy to use and I was operational in just a couple of minutes.

My wife's work laptop is an older model with no HDMI jack. She needed to connect to our TV to watch something for work. This adapter worked like a charm. Picture was excellent, as was sound. Really appreciated the attached USB connector, which allowed the connection of the sound without needing a separate cable. The price was a little high at just under $30, but it was in stock and could be picked up at the store with no-contact curbside pickup the same day. Overall a good value.

This adapter allows me to use my new TV to access my old computer to extract data from the hard drive.

Great adapter for my older laptop! I messed up a couple of times because my laptop was older and I couldn't attach the projector. This is a life saver!
