    I purchased this item because I got a new laptop that does not have a VGA output for video, it only has HDMI out. I did ask an associate in the store if this adaptor would work for this and I was told it would. Unfortunately it did not work that way. Apparently this adaptor will only go from VGA to HDMI(not the reverse). I ended up returning this item. I'm sure it works fine for it's intended use.

    My new computer apparently did not recognize the adapted monitor. I subsequently purchased a new Samsung monitor from Best Buy which is compatible with the new computer. Best Buy did provide a refund/credit for this purchase.

    Did not work at all, plugged it correctly many times and not even once. They also had so many open box of the same product probably because it’s no good.

    Due to the salesperson's lack of follow through we had to make a 2nd 40+ mile trip to pick this up when it should have been pointed out that it was needed during the initial monitor purchase!

    The quality of the picture coming out of this is not good. Yes it does work, it sends HDMI signal however the image is very blurry and it is not stable. It looks like the screen is shaking slightly when in use. For those reasons I cannot recommend this product.

    Probably a great product but for my use it didn’t work I was trying to use it in a projector for having a Nintendo Switch play through it but no dice

    Unfortunately it would not work. The DIN connector housing is too large to fit into the case of my older DELL laptop computer.
