Purchased as a deal for the day and was really not expecting much for 34 bucks. We are an Alexa house but I wanted to try Google's alternative. The sound is impressive and far better than expected and really a little better than all the Alexas we have. I'm actually going to buy another tonight for the office at this price. Setup was simple and straight forward in the Google Home App. For the price and quality you can't go wrong.

I really enjoy my speaker. Got an open box for 50 when it was on sale. Definitely wouldn't have gotten it full price for a store brand. That being said the sound quality is pretty good and perfect for being used in a bedroom. Only issue I've had so far is a small digital scratching noise that has just started happening after having for less than 2 weeks. Could be a voltage problem, but I'm not sure.

I havw this speaker since 2018 and so far it's working just fine. The ony thing miasing now is the tiny led lights which shows the time kidn of busted. so it doesn't show the entire character now..Nice for a room .Not sure about outside or living room .Easy set up. Connects right away.

It's not a terrible speaker, but... it's not that great. While it does get loud, it loses a lot of clarity and you begin to hear rattling and distortion. I would compare it to a JBL Charge 2 speaker, but a little less audio performance than that. It doesn't get as loud as the JBL and the bass isn't as clear either. The sound is why I took a star away. The other issue is why I took another star away. The setup process was very slow and irritating. I ran into multiple errors and had to restart the process a few times. I eventually had to remove power and reset it to get the speaker to successfully connect to my account. When I used it as a dual audio device over bluetooth, it lagged so bad. Absolutely horrible. The only reason I didnt give it 2 stars, is because I ultimately paid $21 for it, using a $5 gift card and it being on sale. If I had actually paid $150 for this, it would be going back. Even $50 in my opinion is a little too much to spend on this thing. But for $20, I'll keep it and put up with it

It's on of the best Google Assistant speakers out there but there's one flaw and it's the time zone setting. My time zone is Atlantic and it's displaying Eastern time. It's displaying the time one hour late. I don't know if it's a software problem with Google or Insignia. Other than that, the speaker is super loud and it's super responsive. I hope they fix the time zone issue soon.

Plugged in the device and installed google home. The app found it right away. It set up the connection to wifi and then asked me to say OK google and Hey google to get a "voice match" set up. After setup, it gave me a message in google home that it was having trouble finding the device, but it was up and working in a minute or two. When saying "hey google" or "ok google" it won't alert you that it's listening with a sound. The lights on top will come on. If you hesitate too long, it will tell you it's listening. I did ask it to call my husband and it told me it couldn't make calls yet. If you're wanting this device to do so, it may be a future update. The sound is great considering it's size. It sometimes can't hear me say "ok Google" if music is playing. This was a great entry device to start the journey with smart home devices. I hope it will soon start making calls. It lost a star due to that missing feature. I'm still learning what all I can do with these types of devices but so far it's great!

This works better than my $300 Alexa Megablast speaker. The microphones actually hear me and does what I want. I am really liking the Hue support better with Google than Alexa. Sound is great for a little speaker in this price range. I highly recommend this for any home automation users just getting into it.

I purchased this on sale for $40. The first one I got had a " load" problem. I couldn't reset. I brought it back to bestbuy for exchange. During setup you need to leave it alone for it to update. Takes five minutes. After that continue with set up. Works great, google assistant is good. I would suggest to ADD a computer interface to update.

Got this off a very good deal from Best Buy. Was kind of skeptical about the sound quality and the usability. Surprisingly it was a real good sounding speaker. One negative I noticed that when the speaker is playing on high volume(70% and above), it would not be able to hear new commands easily. We literally have to shout at it.

I bought the smaller one for my daughter and got this one for me. It sounds awesome. Perfect for a big bedroom or even the kitchen. For $44.99 this thing was a steal! I do admit even at the lowest setting the screen is bright. However the google assistant works great and had no trouble setting up the time.

I have two of the smaller units that my children use as alarm clocks on their nightstands. Came across a really good deal on this unit, so I pulled the trigger... Fact of the matter is that functionally it did its job, sound was decent. However, I returned due to two factors: 1. I couldn't get the sound of the alarm low enough so that it wouldn't startle me in the morning 2. This unit is large - especially compared to the smaller Insignia Voice speaker that does not have the built-in battery. I get that the battery is going to require additional space, but this thing seems like it's about 4 times the size and footprint of the smaller speaker. I really, really wanted to like this speaker but I think it could stand a few improvements if they ever come out with a new model.

Plugged it in and from the start it has been very enjoyable, a surprise at how good it sounds, no comparing it to Google mini or Amazon dot at almost the same cost.The sound is very good compare it to Google home at half the cost.

Amazing product for the price, It was a steal at $25. If you are looking for a smart device then go for this, as it is on par with the google home for the price of google home mini. Speaker is amazing, picks up my voice well.

Good product and great features with latest firmaware update!Surprised by the sounds quality, very good. With firmware updates manual it came with is less useful. Overall very good value for the money.

Bought 3 of these when this is on deal for 25$ for three rooms, really enjoyed the features like clock, speaker, google assistant and my most favorite integration among all the three devices...

Call a good little speaker. Has definitely had more issues lately I believe it has something to do with new gigahertz bands coming out in a little bit of outdated technology in the speaker. Definitely having some connection issues but when is operating and it’s working right it’s great. Perfect for the bedroom not intrusive at all and saves me a lot of time getting up at night turn off lights

The only thing good about this device is the sound. Nothing else is functional nor worth the hassle and disappointment buying this thing. When I bought these I wasn't even in the market for smart speakers. I saw a product with a great rating, and a flash BestBuy member sale for $50 (for the portable) so I gave it a try. I was immediatly impressed by the sound, and facinated by the idea and convenience of a smart speaker-- but that's not unique to these speakers. About 1 month later began to realize that these speakers had very limited abilities and couldn't do, what I learned was, basic stuff like make call, or constantly display the temperature. Another big issue of mine is late at night the audio streaming gets really choppy, its practically useless to listen to audio after 1am. So if your sleeping to ambient sounds... Your cutoff is about 1am. Then I noticed that the microphone doesnt pick up my voice like it used to right out of the box. Bottom line, except for the sound of the speakers this device doesn't get anything else right. Now I realize that I really need to get the actual Google home. I wish I could return these, I'll probably just throw them away.

I purchased four, two for me, two for grandkids. These are impressive re sound and appearance. Better, even, than sliced bread.
