    Literal trash. Bought several of these and the small version when they were on sale for stupid cheap, but should've assumed there was a reason they were so cheap. They frequently lose connectivity and prompt to be re setup. During the latest bout of this problem, they no longer even finish setup so they're useless. Just get an error message during set up and when you say "hey Google" it says "Google assistant isn't set up"... Looks like I've got several new paperweights.

    Let's get this straight, this device is NOT a replacement for google home, not even the google home mini. The Home automation option is very limited like controlling the chromecast. I have a 3rd party device which registered in google home but it won't recognized by this device. Google home calling doesn't work either. Calling customer service make the situation worse, I was able to play music by title and not it doesn't work anymore. Yes the speakers is nice, but you are better off getting a real google home. I am thinking of returning this device back to best buy.

    Stuck in load screen

    Hi, my speaker never past the load screen and it si stuck, I tríed to reset it pressing the mute button 12 sec but it didnt work. In suport they told me to take it to bestbuy but I live in Argentina. Anyone knows how to fix it?

    This is good speaker but not great. I am not sure why but it can't do voice calling as Google home. Secondly it's mics are not more sensitive as claimed by insignia box. They are about the same or even less sensitive than Google home. And my biggest gripe is that it has much less bass when compared to the Google home which is not even a half size of insignia although it's louder. I will change my review if I ended up keeping it and insignia does some updates. It's good speaker and I recommend it if it's going to be your first Google assistant speaker but if you are trying to do upgrade from GH then it's not really a upgrade.

    Speaker is pretty good but it frequently looses its connection with the router and needing to be reset all over again.

    Loved mine until Google added Reply to the Broadcast feature and apparently BROKE the ability to RECEIVE broadcasts on these Insignia assistants. Can send but NOT receive broadcasts now!

    The sound is unacceptable. Even the smaller Google home mini has higher quality. There is no reason for them to have a woofer on the bottom as it is seemingly unused. The only upside is the battery. But it barely sounds better than my phone which also has a battery and Google Assistant and clock. Thankfully it was only 35 bucks.

    Cons: Plays music alarm at the same level, which is too loud in the morning and cannot be adjusted. If your internet goes out, the clock and alarm stops working. I was hoping that with the backup battery, the alarm would still work if the power went out. So if you internet goes out while you're sleeping, your alarm won't work. In the end, no better than my cheap old alarm clock. Sound quality is okay.

    Super-laggy bluetooth

    Bought a pair of these primarily as Bluetooth speakers for video, but they have so much lag that they are essentially unusable for this purpose. Video and sound are grossly out of sync. Compared to my Bluetooth headset it's a world of difference in terms of lag.

    Bought this produce 12/3/18 and it bugged out and quit working before a year had even passed (it would not stay connected to the app/wifi--their is an issue w/theWi-FI board within the product, per Insignia)". When I finally had time to reach out to their support, they sent me through several troubleshooting steps, most of which I already outlined I had tried, to no avail. To add salt to the wound, they then suggested I find a repair shop to fix their defective product. Mind you the issue I was having is one that is a very common and frequent one, just google or youtube this product and you will see. If there is anything worse than a product not built to last, it is a support team that will not stand by their brand and product. DO NOT BUY, it is a waste of money.

    Break after 2 months and poor customer service

    Unfortunately, I bought 4 of these alarm clocks and am regretting it. They all have issues. They worked fine for about 2 months or so but then they starting having issues. One of them just loses connection every couple days and you have to reset it. Second one completely stopped working and it can't even detect the wifi anymore. The other two don't broadcast messages anymore and says there's a temporary problem. Tried contacting customer service and it's been over a month now and still no resolution. Extremely poor quality and definitely not happy with customer service either.

    We got it home set everything up checked the weather on it, asked a few simple searches and commands and good to go. Leave and come home to the time frozen at 7:49 and the clock is not responding, after trying everything including a hard reset of the device, the four dots glow on top and it does nothing else.

    The speaker will not finish the setup procedure in the google home app. I keep taking them back to the store for a replacement, but I haven't yet got one that works. Best Buy have been unable to fix the problem.
