Insignia Google Smart Speaker with Portability!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent "Google Home" smart speaker. It has very good sound, it looks great, and the builtin rechargeable battery allows the speaker to moved throughout the house, or even outside, within range of your wireless router signal. Best of all, using Google Home's setup app from your phone you can setup multiple Insignia Smart Speakers in different rooms of your home and then add them to a "Speaker Group" so that anything being played through one speaker will be heard from multiple speakers throughout your home! Great value item, especially when acquired during a Best Buy sales event.

Good speaker and assistant
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Insignia Voice is first smart speaker in my house. I would say that it's a nice and smart replacement for the alarm clock in our bedroom :) The installation was easy and quick. It connected to my wi-fi without any issues. The integration with google home app is a nice feature. It's responsiveness to "hey google" or "ok google" is pretty amazing (at least to me and my son). It is able to pick up my voice commands from the other corner of my bedroom. The sound quality is decent. I haven't really used it much more than that but to me these were the primary operations for a smart speaker in my bedroom and this little guy fits the bill perfectly. I would recommend this to my friends.

Perfect replacement for the Google Home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical at first when buying it as I wasn't sure if I should go with the Google Home or this Insignia with Google Assistant. I believe I made the right choice. The sound is perfect and it has just the right amount of bass. I love that it's portable so you can use it as a normal Bluetooth speaker. This is perfect for a nightstand because it has the time always displayed. I wish that the Temp was displayed at all times but I'm sure that's a Google Assistant limitation. Can't recommend this enough for someone who's up in the air about buying a Google Home or a Google Assistant.

Love the portability
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This speaker actually sounds very good for its size and cost. The battery means you can take it with you. You can dim the display. It is great to hear music or radio stations that you might not get off-air. My wife was impressed with the sound that she wanted the bigger one instead of the plug in one I purchased for her. The integration to Google home to control the device is pretty good. I have not paired multiple units together yet. For the price and flexibility, I would definitely purchase again.

Good alternative to Google Home device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This speaker is very good. Not outstanding, but good. I was pleased with the speaker quality and the Google Assistant works just as well as with my Google Home Mini. Only issue is making calls, sometimes it says it can't make the call, but it does work most of the time. Will use as alarm clock, but not until they enable hand-wave snooze for music alarm. It still doesn't work with Firmware 314 the newest version. Otherwise great alternative to higher prices Google Home.

Great third party Google assistant option
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's not much to say about this that can't be said about any other Google assistant speaker. The only real differences come in the form factor, aesthetics, and the display. It looks good on your side table, it displays the time, and if you ask about the weather, it will show three temperature. The speakers are solid, and sound great, and it works great with the night time routine mode that Google assistant has. I wouldn't pay 150 for it, but on sale for around 50? Definitely worth it.

Good all-around Smart Speaker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let's be honest. Smart speakers are all pretty-much the same when it comes to features. You get either Alexa or Google, then the differences come down to sound quality. This speaker comes with the Google Home Assistant. It has the same capabilities as any other Google Home-based product. In-store, I compared this speaker with its little brother, and the sound was worth the price difference. Once home, I have been impressed with the sensitivity of the microphone (it sometimes picks up when I am talking to my Android phone two rooms away). Sound quality is much better than Google's Home Mini, which I also own. It can get loud, and keeps decent sound all the way up the volume settings, though you can hear some distortion near the top of the range. You can cast to this speaker, start streaming from the assistant, or use it as a Bluetooth speaker. It is also able to be used for hands-free calls via Bluetooth. There is a battery in this model, which claims 4 hours of life, though I have not tested battery life. I have routinely used it for up to 2 hours without issue.

Better Than any smart speaker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can i say about this insignia speaker ? i mean wow its flawlessly great job insignia they're known brands out there that cost double the price and don't offer what this smart speakers packs. the music can be very loud and you don't have to scream at it to get googles attention one problem i have with the google home mini, very loud of course and the music doesn't sound distorted just amazing I'm very satisfied and will recommend this smart speaker to anyone thats on the market

Love it
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The difference between this and its smaller sibling is this one is portable with a rechargeable battery so you can move it around the house or take outside as long as you have wifi. the other difference is it has a really deeper bass so you will enjoy listening to your music. The nice thing is if you have two or more of these you can play music all through the house thru your home app, like sonos but for a fraction of the price, plus it has the Google assistant.

The ONLY reason I returned these was...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Because I dislike talking to GooglieAssistant even less than I do Alexa. These speakers are far and away superior to their Amazon Echo counterparts. I recently tried the Echo speakers and returned them to (GASP!) Amazon. All four of 'em. These Insignias have superior sound and features (this model has a built-in battery so you can take it outside!) so if you are sitting on the fence (OUCH!) on choosing between Google and Amazon I would say if speaking to A.I. is your thing, pick the Insignias as your voice of reason. Me? I returned these excellent sounding and vastly superior (to the Echo) units to Best Buy in exchange for a pair of Denon Heos HS1. Those cost me more than twice as much for half the number of speaker but I have a Denon AV Receiver (also from BB) that works seamlessly with the Heos units. Now I don't have to TRY talk to anyone when I want to hear my music. Once more, with feeling...These Insignia GooglieAssistant speakers are a STEAL at the sale price and are highly recommend for those of you out there that care about quality in build and sound as well as it's just nice to be able to see the time and tempaerature or set an alarm if the unit is in your bedroom. Trust me...I know what I'm doin' when I'm reviewin'.

Good but be aware of the issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Headline here - this is a very strong portable speaker with Google Assistant built in. The sound is very impressive for a portable device given its price and size. The small handle in the back is a thoughtful addition to making it easy to transport. Why more devices don't have a clock on it is baffling. This makes a great bedside device. Cons ... the microphones aren't the best. I have a much more difficult time getting Google to hear me than I do with our Echo devices. It is almost impossible to have the device skip a song while taking a shower. This was something our Echo did without issue. Other small problem - the device is bright. So much so that my daughter won't use hers as an alarm clock. She needs her room to be very dark and we cannot get the device LED to go nearly dim enough. Not sure if the issue is with the Google Home app or with the device. Again - not a big issue for most people I suspect. Just those that need things very dark in order to sleep. Small cons ... no calling (yet). Don't count on it coming. The weather really should always be present. Seems silly to have to ask for the temperature when it could just be displayed. Other than those issues I highly recommend this device. Paid $70 for it and feel that it is an excellent buy at that price.

great deal on a google assistant speaker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Another good product from Insignia. Got a great deal on this google assistant speaker. Good sound. this version has an internal rechargeable battery. I’ve only used it a few times on the battery and it lasts approximately 4 hours. I plan to use it in the bedroom, so battery is not a big deal. This version is larger with a better speaker. If you can get it on sale, it can be much cheaper than the Google brand with the same assistant capabilities.

Really, an awesome product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw some negative reviews for this but I gotta tell you, I love this product. It has Google Assistant, it is a super loud speaker, that has quality sound at that, and best of all it can be portable, it stays plugged in beside my bed most of the time but you can unplug it and use it like 5-6 hours. It compares really well with my other 150 dollar Bluetooth speaker, this insignia is actually a little louder and has a better mid range.

AMAZING
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a fully featured Google Home for a fraction of the price that sounds better and has a clock display on the front. Oh yeah it's also portable and has it's own battery for playing music when you're on the move. Also it can be put into Bluetooth pairing mode so you don't even need WiFi to enjoy it. The one gripe I have with all Google home assistants is the lack of a line out jack. If it had that it'd the perfect home stereo companion.

Nice speaker
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can I say, liked this enough to buy more. Great sound, easy to use, easy to integrate into Google Home, does everything I ask. Never had any issues, at least to date. I wish they still carried them, as I would love to have a few more. Oh it's got a built in battery as well, so I can take it with me to the garage or backyard if I so desire.

Awesome smart speaker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had already purchased the non portable version of this speaker and loved it, so when I saw this one on sale for about the same price i jumped on it. This one Is huge compared to the other one and it has a battery so it can be portable. Love the sound on it and that it lets you have a clock display on it. I also really like the ability to make phone calls with one of the updates on it as that wasnt originally a feature.

Awesome Google Home Alternative
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product has exceeded my expectations. It works just as well as the 3 Google Homes I own. I love that it displays the time. The touch controls for increasing/decreasing volume are easy to use. The sound is great for the price. I mostly leave it in one place plugged in but love that I have to option to let it run on the built in battery for several hours if I want. Overall an excellent product and a great price!

Fantastic with one quirk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a product sitting in place, this is absolutely amazing. However, since this is portable, which Google Home isn’t entirely meant for yet, there are some issues I want to point out. 1: Google Assistant doesn’t work without wifi, but you can do a phone hotspot 2: You have to manually select each time you switch between networks 3: Bluetooth works great, but there aren’t skip song features in the speaker and google assistant doesn’t work when there is no WiFi, which is the only time I’d ever use Bluetooth 4: This speaker gets LOUD. The sound quality is fantastic at this price point, but you have to shout at it in order for it to hear you, but it’s perfectly fine, just something to point out. While this review may seem negative, I have to emphasize that these are my only quirks with the product. I absolutely love it so much, it has great sound and audio for the value and is better than the normal google home. Also, this really isn’t a quirk but I wish the temperature stayed constantly on the display. But yes, highly recommended and it’s a fantastic value with great audio!

Nice Google device at $30.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this on sale for $30. The bluetooth speaker function is great. The sound is good for this small device. It has battery too. It is a bit big but if you want better sound, the loudspeakers need bigger volume. This is a good trade-off. I use this device every day, from asking for stock quote to weather, and my google calendar, etc.
