What a pleasant surprise! Works great, sounds great. We're Alexa folks but wanted to be able to ask Google for info that Alexa doesn't know, and we wanted easy access to our Google music libraries. I was expecting cheap and satisfactory but this product actually delivers good quality sound and pleasant useful features.

I started with a google mini a few months ago and thought to myself this would be so great to be able to use as a portable device. Welcome to this product. It does everything the google mini does and adds portability, a clock and temp display. The only downside is it is a bit big and bulky but well worth the trade off for me. I caught this on sale at a substantial discount but even at full price believe its a good deal.

I love the sound quality and the google assist feature such as turning ON/OFF the lights.

We like our unit very much! We play all types of music with it although you can get more if buy into Google music which is a small monthly fee... but you really don't need it. The Google Assistant is fun.... get info from such as the local weather or any weather from around the world... get sports updates and news... there are a lot of questions wait to be answered by Google. This unit is also sells for a great price too.

I brought the Insignia plugin smart speaker with clock earlier and love it, so I went back to buy this portable version. This one operates exactly the same as the plugin version except it is portable which is great. However, this unit is quite big - at least 1.5 times bigger and takes up a lot more foot print. I like the sleek look of the smaller unit much better - too bad the smaller unit is not portable.

I am on the fence on this one. I have three Amazon Alexa devices and I bought this one because it was an open box for $35. Im not sorry I bought it because it blue tooth pairs nicely with my Samsung phone and the music sound is far better than any Alexa speaker I have. Thats where it ends......Alexa controls home commands far better than google I had problems getting this one to recognize the google home app on my phone.....it finally did but the display on the clock it an hour behind what the actual time time.. If you actually ask what time it is, it knows the correct time. I havent figured out how to get it to recognize the 33,000 songs in mu google play library Alexa had no problem playing the same songs in a amazon library. A nice feature on this google device, you ask it the temperature it will display it on the face. I cant hear the alarm feature on the google home. If you set a reminder on Alexa, it will tell you what the reminder is at the proper time. All google does is tell you that you have a reminder. if you want a great sounding bluetooth speaker for cheap, buy it......just consider Google as a benefit

Great sound with Google Assistant built in. Can even pair two to make it stereo. And portable?

The Alarm Clock works with no issues and so does the Google Assistant. Only issue is that it responds to random this on my TV, which is VERY annoying... I don't think the instructions cover this, but if you want to snooze the alarm, just touch the top circle of the Alarm Clark. It snoozes it for 10 minutes or you can say, "Hey Google, Snooze for 10 minutes". I don't know if you can change this to a longer duration...

This Google assistant speaker is the larger one in the Insignia line. I seen that it was marked way down so I couldn't turn it down for the price. Got it set up in just a couple minutes and am impressed with the sound quality and the "Far Field" voice recognition this has I have the Google mini's in a couple of rooms and a Google Hub, so for the price and quality of the Insignia I would definitely go for this one

The item sounds great, and allows me to listen to music and use google home out side wireless.

It work better than a google mini, nice sound and it recognized your sentence with no problem

I've had this in place for almost a year. I like this better than the Google Home bc it displays the time and temp always. The Google Assistant function works flawlessly. Love using voice control to turn the TV and light on/off, and the broadcast feature to my other Google Home devices means no more screaming up the stairs to tell the kids dinner is ready. I got this for an exceptional price too.

Sound quality is good. Love that it's portable. Wish it had Alexa instead though.

Great Speaker, sound quality is there, Google assistant works perfectly, but you will have the issue when listening to music very loudly, that's when Google assistant has issues listening to your voice, I would give it a 5, but the big issue is battery life, they displayed 5 hours of usafe with 50% volume, from my experiment, I only got 2:30 with 50% volume, so I always keep it plugged in

Great open box bargain. Good sound and doesn't take up much space.
