Could not get it to connect to wifi did not keep it

the company suggested we exchange it for a new one

Returned it because you had to use proprietary app

Im a tech guy and these are terrible. Add to that being forced into an obvious advertising echo system to use a bad product. Avoid at all costs. Hard to setup assuming it works and add to that NOT ADA compliant. (Bought for a blind family member)

These used to work great until they discontinued the app and stopped supporting them in 2019. So now they can no longer be controlled by wifi or any way other than pressing the green button to turn power on or off.

I have been unable to get this outlet to work. I cannot get it to sync with Wi-Fi. There simply is not enough information in the instructions, and the app is not working by itself. I have emailed back-and-forth with customer service, but have not had any success.

Bought 3 of these devices. All malfunction after 3 weeks of use. I am a tech-savvy installer but setting up these plugs with there software is terrible. I suggest save your money and buy a better product and headache.

It was a very cool product, but then after only two months it failed to connect with wifi due to Insignia's tech support. They refunded my money with a Best Buy gift Card because it's THEIR mess up with no remedy. Buy another brand for now.

Easy to install and it works great. Lights are on before getting home and with a schedule in place when traveling.

no matter how many time I tried, it just won't connect to an Android device. I can get other things smart related to connect to my phone I event have an off-brand smart plug connected to my phone just not the insignia there's no support.

I spent an hour trying to get these to be recognized by Alexa and gave up. I returned them to bestbuy. I have since ordered some other plugs which work great the first time. These may work with some other product but not amazon.

we bought this to use with the christmas tree to turn it on and off, could not learn it to an iphone and even tried my sons galaxy, no avail . this was to be used in conjunction with my google mini i can not recommend this item

I bought three of these a year ago and now Bestbuy discontinued app so these plugs are now useless They don't support the web service either so they don't work with google home anymore either

Both plugs I've purchased connected and setup just fine, but stopped working soon thereafter. Was very happy initially with the price and ease of use/connectivity but unfortunately had to give up on them.

Bought for a gift thinking how nice it would be to have them. Was too difficult to hook up never did get it to work taking back...

For a smart outlet, you can only hook it up to one smart device. If I hook it up to my phone then it removes it from my wife's phone, so only one device can control the outlet (only one person can turn on and off the lights)

This is a terrible product. I should have listened to the reviews. Completely wasted my time going to the store and making this purchase. It did not work at all and customer service was unable to help me either.

After 2 weeks there was a mobile app upgrade and they no longer worked. I reset them up and they worked 1 time and now require I log out and in each time before the work. Im bringing them back. Terrible product.

This worked great in the beginning, but eventually lost the sync and could not get to work. Waited too long to return and lost my money on 3 of these. Won't buy this brand again....very leary.

Went through all the setup step by step instructions, but never could get it to work, and I'm a computer tech. Returned the item and purchased the Bayit sense wifi socket instead, which was a cinch to set up.
