Installation is more difficult than it needs to be. Instructions are inadequate. I have set up 2 other wifi accessories and connected them to Dot Echo without any problems but this plug is a pain in the butt.

Not at all satisfied with this. It dropped sync several times within the first days of use, and seemed to get stuck in pairing mode (light blinking). I returned this and am looking into other options.

I bought this because I was told it will connect to google home.I can not figure out how to use it. 3 different people have followed the instructions and we can get it to connect to my google home.

I purchased a bunch of these. Over the first few weeks, I'm having about a 50% failure rate! At least one didn't work right out of the box. Returning. I suggest avoiding these Insignia smart plugs!

I got two wi fi switches, price was very attractive, but the units were defective. After more than ten attempts in different wi fi environment, I re packed them and returned it to the store.

I never could get it it to work- even tried exchanging it and calling for help. I finally gave up and it just sits in a basket. Thank goodness I really like the Alexa which it was bundled into.

I've very tech savvy but this so called WiFi smart plug wore out it's welcome and I returned it to the store and the app is about as useless too.

Always having to reconnect my account. Supposed to make things easier, instead makes it more difficult.

It was great when it worked but then it just stopped working one night for no reason. The company and best buy will not replace unless within 30 days and have receipt.....

Bought four of these as my intro to smart home. After trying to set them up for two day and failed troubleshooting from the manufacturer I returned these and got Phillips hue instead.

Had to download and join 2 apps before setup and then go back an forth to wi-fi and settings. Not worth the time I spent and returned

I followed the steps to setup but i couldn’t, I called customer support and after spending 1 hour on call they said there App does not support on iPhone 7 hence return the product

Never got this device to work , it never found the correct WiFi network, I live in an apartment complex and it found all of the surrounding networks and not mine so it’s useless.

Connected to iPhone but won’t connected to router, poor lazy like me sleeping on the sofa can switches between off/on with extension cord... I was banned so can’t return it!

Returned as it would not stay synch with my WIFI. Bought as a package with google home which I love but tried multiple times and ways, but could not make this product work

at first it works but after a few hours I can't shut it off either from the app or from a Google home. It is 100% useless at that point. I'm returning it for a refund

The app to control the device turned useless my outlet. App stopped recognize it and support never gave me a solution. I couldn’t return it because warranty expired

I tried to set it up with my phone several times and I could not get it to work. Whenever I got to the step to choose a room name it would not work. Had to return item.

A simple setup made overly complex. Device does not maintain WIFI connection even in good signal strength set up and does not auto reconnect. An almost useless device.
