this is my second insignia smart plug. i originally bought the weemo but it wouldn't stay connected to my wi-fi, so i returned it and bought this. we run a couple of lamps of the plugs and connect it to Amazon Echo (Alexa). Works very well and maintains connection to my wifi network. smart plug app is just OK. limited scheduling (e.g. i would like to set an off time to ensure the lamp doesn't stay on all night but it requires that i set an 'on' time). I would prefer to connect this first to my Wink home automation router but it doesn't do that. Still works well

I originally bought a Wemo to do my home automation with the plugs. Wemo works really good but is twice as expensive. I needed something to control my xmas lights so I went with the affordable choice. These work perfectly and setup was straight forward. The reviews say that the devices take extra time to respond. This is what I experienced too. Wemo is instant, these have a delay. But , thats ok, i have them on timers and the price is right.

Not a bad price, very easy to set up, works very well, nice having the app on my phone, bought 2 more.

I really like my wifi outlet. It allows you to program schedules as well as turn things on and off remotely.

Works most of the time. A couple of times, I had to turn it on in the app, but mostly it follows my settings. Easy to setup...did so in a short time.

I simply downloaded the Insignia Connect app, went through the steps indicated in the app, had a little patience as things connected, and it's worked flawlessly since. I use it for a box fan in the bedroom. I was able to set weekday and weekend schedules for it in the Insignia App. I also added the Insignia App to the Google Home App and can control it via my Google Home. It's kinda creepy, but cool. I'll definitely be buying more.

This thing is great. It’s much cheaper than the alternatives. I got them for $15. Connects with no problem and works like a charm with Alexa

It's a great product that's works very well besides the app crashing a few times before login on but once connected and set up no more problems.

Plug was easy to setup with insignia app. It was a little difficult linking insignia switch to smart home device but eventually got it. Switch also needs to be relinked to smart home device whenever there’s an update which is inconvenient.

The product works great if its near the access point. The one that works good was approx. 15 feet away from my router. The one that was in the bedroom would disconnect consistently. I have the netgear nighthawk 3200 and it did not help.

Works as stated; set it up in Insignia app first before configuring in Google Home's home control; do not add as a device in Google Home! You have to go to home control after setting it up in Insignia. Insignia app is good also and allows you to set it up in different locations. I have this on schedule to turn on/off at different times of the day. Giving it 4-stars for now because of price; it could be cheaper bec there are other alternatives online that works just as well. Overall, I'd buy again...only if it's on sale!

Got this to go with my Echo Dot. Easy to setup and runs great off of the app. Can be a little laggy using the Dot but overall works great.

, just like the other smart Insignia devices this takes a few tries to get it connected once it's connected it's pretty reliable

Easy to setup and pair with my Amazon Echo Dot. Bought 2 and they worked so well I bought 2 more.

I get an error message and constantly need to restart my ipad in order for me to be able to shut off lamp that is plugged in to outlet.

Works great with Alexa, easy setup. Bought two for my house, one in living and one in family room

These plugs are a cheap alternative to Wemo. The setup is absolutely horrible on iOS 11. Support was not able to help, but I did figure it out on my own. Not sure I could repeat it! It does work with both Alexa and Google Home.
