I have no problem with the switch. Setup was easy and it works fine. The iPhone app only works on iOS 10 or higher. I HATE when developers exclude the millions of people with older phones and iPads. I have an older iPad that works fine for me. I'm finding that more and more apps are not available because these idiot developers make it so the app only works on an updated iOS. Apple stopped supporting my iPad model, no more updates. I would not buy another insignia switch for this reason. I can use app on my phone, for now, when it gets too old, I won't. Can't use this app on my dinosaur of an iPad.

This smart plug is just what I needed. I had purchased the "remote control" plus years ago and never could get it work correctly. The Insignia works GREAT!! With the time change, I set up a schedule to turn on at 5pm, off at 10pm. If I'm in bed before 10pm I can still turn it off from the bedroom. Definitely a must buy!!

I have purchased 6. Three for my home and others for gifts. Fairly easy to set up.

Bought this to work with my Google Home. The setup was several steps, which could be outlined better in the instructions. There was no mention of how to connect to Google Home (or Amazon Alexa), only that you could. You need to (1) install an app on your phone, then (2) connect that app to the device, then (3) use the Google Home app on your phone to link to the device. Presto... it works!

I wanted to hook some light to this. It works great! Has some issues when the wifi goes down, after booting up you may have to redo it for your device at home.

I'm an experienced user. Have the tplink smart plugs, thought I'd give the BestBuy brand (Insignia) a try, the price was right. got home, downloaded the app - it is so poor, couldn't even try out the plug! Sorry I purchased, returned it and bought a Wemo, no problems! should have read the reviews before I bought, waste of time trying this out and having to return, BestBuy should not sell this item.

I love these, they are simple to setup, and work well, I use them mostly for lights with Google home, and it works well. Sometimes the Best Buy server goes down, so they don't respond like they should, but usually not for long. Scheduling is easy too, so now have it operating holiday decorations.

When it works it is great but the device has a tendency to drop off our WiFi network.

I loved it. Enjoy being able to turn the light on when I come home from work.

Not the best in the market but definitely for the price its well worth it.

Easy set up, works with Alexa just fine for programming and no Hub is needed.

It was easy to set up and I thought it worked fine. One night it lost Internet connection and didn't connect back.

For the home I”m using 3 insignia outlets and the Phillips hue bulbs for smart lighting solutions. I prefer the smart bulbs, unless you’re using an appliance other than lighting like a fan I would go with smart bulbs over the outlets. These outlets are hit and miss. When they work they work just fine but I’ve had issues with losing IP addresses, spotty updates from the manufacturer to the point of having to do a fresh set up. The app is basic and user friendly which is nice but 3 star rating based on hardware performance over the last two years.

Works with Google home which is good. It is only one plug so that is fustrating but for the price I got it good buy

I bought this plug on sale for 15$. Works really well with my Google Home.

I think I'm going to enjoy. Just getting the hang of the gizmo. It's neat.
