I only paid $5 for this because it was on sale and I had a giftcard to add to the purchase. When I tried to set it up I was not happy with how many steps you have to take to get it registered. It was far to complicated. It would not connect to my WIFI and I actually had to call their tech support to get the issue resolved. The product itself works as it should but the setup really turned me off. I'll buy TP link in the future.

This works great until 6 months. Won't connect to the Google home after 6 months have to use thw mobile app to turn on and off.

I like these plugs. They make good timers when I'm out of town.

Easy to setup and use. The Insignia plug allows you control over various electronic devices in your home through an AI device like Google Home Mini or others. Watch out, once you purchase one and put it into use you find yourself finding other ways to make your life better.

I wasn't too sure about the brand. But the price was not bad and thought it would be a good start into my foray into the "smart" world. It's nice that you can control it through your phone; the interface is very user-friendly. Scheduling on/off times is great!

We got this product to allow us to turn the lights on/off remotely while on vacation. However, you do have to have the lights physically turned on all the time while the switch allows you to turn them off. If lights are off to begin with this product will not work.

This little plug is great for setting a timer using wifi.

I have had these plugs for a few they loose connection with wifi 6/10 times but other then that they do what they are suppose to do

I was looking for a simple web based product to control lights at my dad's house and this did the trick! Easy installation and works well remotely or on a schedule. I can confirm operation with my nest cam. Perfect for my application! Thank you Best Buy! I will buy more!

I'm in the early stages of home automation, so have tried several different brands. So far, I'm only using Google Home as my hub. This Insignia plug works great with Assistant giving me near instant voice response. Scheduling is simple with it's app. The price is great. I'm hoping for Stringify integration soon, then will get 5 stars.

You have to download the insignia app to set up this device. The app would connect the device to WiFi, but failed to allow me to name it and use the app to control the plug. Despite that, I was able to connect with my Alexa app & turn it on/off with echo. The plug works fine, but the app is clearly flawed (and has horrible reviews).

I bought these to expand my use of smart plugs with the multiple Alexa devices in my home. They perform as well as plugs I have purchased that cost double this price. The design is also better as some of the other smart plugs tend to block the receptacle from other uses.

Connected to my Google Home without a problem. Very easy to use and when I forget I can use the app to turn on the lights. I no longer have to try a reach because of my disability. I will be adding additional Smart Plugs in the house as it has helped me and my Independence.

I bought this to turn a strip of led lights I placed on my tv stand into a set of smart lights basically. The insignia smart plug was super easy to set up and now I have an addition to my smart home that did not cost me over 100$ such as the lifx or hue strips.

Same as switch except it does not work with apple home kit. Software and app need overhaul. Looses connectivity with the app.

I have to say it’s a little tricky to set up but once you download the Best Buy App along with whatever app that runs your item it’s smooth sailing. I haven’t experienced any problems with the plug and it runs smoothly with Amazon Alexa and the price is right!
