No more crawling under the Christmas tree to plug and unplug the lights. Now I just ask Google to turn them on and off and works perfect every time. I can even turn them on and off from my office.

My first internet of things item. Needed something for Christmas lights. Very simple to connect to WiFi with the phone app and easy to set up schedules. Usual great Insignia pricing and quality.

The plug worked well for my purpose, which was to schedule the Christmas tree to turn on and off. I had a little difficulty the first time with iOS, but quickly realized what I was doing wrong.

Had some minor issue getting it connected, but works great with my google mini once I got it set up. Issue was because the instructions did not mention having to connect it as the wifi network.

While the device is a basic control for lights or other daily used items, the operating app was perfectly designed. Unfortunately, this device has been discontinued since the app is no longer supported.

Easy to set up , but sometimes has latency problems when using Alexa

We bought this when we bought the Google Mini. It syncs up effortlessly and really allows us to start making our home into a smart home. Also you can use the app to turn on and off wherever.

This item is not supported anymore and does not work as a WiFi plug. However I can still use it as a regular plug but does not serve any purpose. It used to work long time before though

So this insignia smart outlet is cheaper than the equivalent tp-link, but it's not worth the difference. It has weak wifi reception which keeps cutting out, and it has no option for local wifi control - you have to use your bestbuy/insignia account and cloud control. In contrast, the tp-link gets a solid wifi connection, and can be controlled locally, with no remote account.

Very impressed with this smart plug. Reasonably priced, had no problems setting it up, highly pleased with it so far. Wonderful item that can be controlled with your phone or by setting a timer.

This wifi outlet works as described. It took several tries to connect to wifi and once that happened using the device without having to login every time is a pain. The app won't hold the login info. I would recommend this for a first timer and pilot.

Was looking to add a smart plug so Alexa could light up parts of the house for me. Works better then I could have wished for. Easy programing using my tablet and router connection was a snap.

Nice Smart Plug for the Price. It works seamlessly with App & also with Google Assist app or Google Home / Google Home Mini. I also liked scheduled On and Off in Insignia Connect App.

I took advantage of the sale price for this smart plug for I love the easiness of setting it up and have plugs all over the house that I can control via phone app or Alexa voice command

Great product and works well once setup is complete. Setup process is tidious as instructions are not well written. Tip for people having 5Ghz network, disconnect/remove auto connect to 5Ghz network from your mobile device during setup.

Love being able to turn my electric fence of from where ever i am, app sometimes has a problem when your in a zone switching from wifi to cellular, i just turn off my phone wifi for that.

This product is a BB product that is cheaper and works just as well as Branded product and is easy to use. Problem is that every time I go in to buy another one they are always OOS.

My two issuse with this is that first I'm unable to setup for the first time useing my Google pixel 2 so I have to use a different phone to set it up then go back to my pixel. And second it won't always show up in my Google home app.

Was always thinking was taking the plunge to smart home. Inexpensive way to start. Easy to setup and manage. Currently items are limited, hope there are more products from Insignia

I've tried other timers but they always have issues. I use this for my salt water fish tank and it's worked wonderfully. I am able to turn the LED lights on or off from wherever I'm at!!
