The product might be fine. But the app through which you control the plug does not work. Could never connect to the plug through the app on my phone.

The convenience of being able to operate my electronics and lights is fantastic. All done from my smart phone or iPad.

Works great once it gets installed. Had some trouble getting it ready to connect. Otherwise 2 trys later..... AWESOME!

I have used it for a light in the living room. I use Amazon Echo and it works perfectly. Very easy to install and use.

I purchased this to start on the path to a smart home. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the switch to connect to my home network successfully. I exchanged the unit several times and had no success with any of the units. The issue seemed to be the app you use to configure the device. I had more success with the android version of the app, but it would not make the final connection to my wireless network. Ultimately I returned the unit and purchased a different model from a different manufacturer. If the issues with the app (especially the IOS version) get resolved, this would be a nice device.

This was going to be a perfect item but ended up using a different brand that went with my alarm system

People don’t realize the abilities of this thing. Can be used in so many ways that can make daily activities easier.

If this product would have worked my plan was to buy several of them but it turned out to be one of the most aggravating pieces of technology that I have ever worked with. When I couldn't get the first one to work I took it back to the store to ask for help and was told it must be defective and exchanged it for another one. WhenI couldn't get it to work I called the tech support number and they tried everything they thought might word but still didn't work. Again I was advised to take it back and exchange it for another. I took it back but dod not want to be aggravated any more so I did not get any more.

Insignia Connect CONSTANTLY stops working. Also, setup was terrible - neither android nor iPhone setup was successful. Neither allows me to see that I've added plugs...but Alexa somehow finds them...

Lamp often responds to Alexa through Smart Plug, but other times takes it upon itself to turn on or off at its will rather than my command. It also extends outward from plug so is more bulky than I would like.

Spend to hour to installed it , have tried so many times reboot exactly how Manuel said . Finally returned it and got little more expensive but better one .

I purchased this plug when I was going to be away for a couple months. After three weeks I suddenly received an error where I was no longer able to control it from my Smartphone app. My other home wifi devices worked so I knew my internet was up and running. I contacted customer service only to be told I need to unplug it and plug it back in. That would be fine if I was at home. So for the next month and half it was worthless to me, and I'm not able to return because unlike other stores, they are strict about their return policy. It was a waste of my money. I will be looking for a better brand to replace it.

I am not good with setting the "old" digital timers; this unit is great. I can change on and off times quickly.

Works really well I’m happy with the peace and I would recommend it to anybody who would like to buy one

This is awesome to have if you want to make something in your room, that has to be plugged in “Smart”

This working amazing, when in strong WiFi range. They have disconnected a few time, but otherwise they work great!

Glad we got this to go with home control device. Great for pets when we’re out late. Just turn light on for them.

I took 2, 1st one returned back as even customer care representative could not connect it, 2nd one worked for 15 days but then stopped working

I was very pleased at how great it works I paired it with my Alexa and it works great to turn on my Tv.

I bought this for my mother last year and it stopped working after two weeks. I returned it and bought her a TP-Link smartplug and it still works.
