Connecting problems with IOS

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could not get the smart plug to work properly using the IOS operating system (iPhone). Every time I set it up it would work fine until I closed the app, and when re-opening the app it would not recognize the smart plug and i would have to go through the process of connecting it to the wifi again. I contacted technical support and no matter what I did it would not work properly, so I discarded it as it was past the amount of time to return.
