Works as promised with virtually no setup

All that was required was to select remote release from the camera menu & that was it. Works as promised. Have not tried it from more than about ten feet away so can't comment beyond that but very pleased with easy setup & operation.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Short and sweet, I'm usually behind the camera taking pictures cause that's what I enjoy but ever since I found and purchased the Insignia- wireless remote and shutter control I can be in the pictures and don't assume that since your using the remote your getting less quality pictures . I'm getting the same quality because this remote is also a shutter control so you do not lose quality or a member of the family cause they're the one taking the pictures now we're all in it! !!!

Does what its supposed to do

Requires direct sight of line since its not radio, but IR signal who is transmitted from unit. Small enough to have it on small compartment of camera bag.
