    This unit replaces a similar unit that gave us years of service. Recently, the unit we had relied on for years started to leak. We had no concern about replacing it with this Insinkerator unit. It is not the quietest unit, but works for us in a sealed cabinet. It works without any delay and completes it task efficiently.

    This garbage disposal shreds whatever you throw at it. It's "quite" as well. Instructions were easy to follow. Don't forget to remove the plastic knock out before using or your dishwasher won't be able to drain.

    This is my 3rd inSinkerator disposal in my 40 years of home ownership. They do work well and are quieter than other models. I don't put huge pieces of food scraps in my disposal, but think it could run faster with a 3/4 hp. I needed a disposal asap so couldn't shop around for larger model that was available in-store
