Spend less on this than one of refill of the ink...

Unfortunately I have not been using enough to properly evaluate this product. After registration for the program it should work and save me money and time and prevent me from running out of ink when I am working in my home office.

Very convenient. Printer communicates with HP when the ink is low HP then sends ink directly to my daughter in the dorm for a very reasonable price. So she never runs out of ink.

I'm a teacher and print/make many copies at home. After talking to numerous other teachers, they all highly recommend the instant ink option. The printer I purchased had a 3 month free membership and this bundle had buy 1, get 1. Essentially, I have 5 months printing/copying for the price of one.

HP monitors your printing habit and will send you back up cartridge - for ready to use. Helpful feature , many times I had to rush to buy cartridge for prininting kids .

I got the 50 page package at $2.99 a month. Since I print a moderate amount at home. The printer monitors the ink usage and wirelessly sends ink level reports to HP, who then mails the ink cartridges to my home before the ink runs out. To avoid the inconvenience of having to run to the store when I'm out of ink (and this always happens at an odd hour when you most need to print something) makes it worth it. There are higher page packages available for a higher dollar amount - based on your printing needs you can purchase that particular package. You're not locked in and can cancel anytime.

I am enjoying this ink replacement service. I do not print a hugh amount of sheets so will probably lower my level when my free months are over. I have not had to get a replacement cartridge yet. The ones on this subscription are loaded with much more ink than the ones you purchase in the store. Ignore the negative reviews from people who were mad that they could not print when they cancelled the service. They just don't understand how the subscription works. They can still print if they go buy a regular cartridge from the store. I researched this before buying the HP printer. I no longer trusted by less expensive Brother printer & replacement ink when it took me 9-10 cleanings to get the new black cartridge to print properly. Doing so drained the ink so badly that it caused my color cartridges to run out. I decided to go back to HP cartridges that have the print head installed in the cartridge. Not all HP printers use the cartridges with included print head but the HP rep was at Best Buy and showed me which printers used those. The Envy 7640 was one of them. It has the 3 in 1 color cartridge instead of individual colors that I prefer. Hopefully, the subscription plan will automatically replace it when one of the colors is low. I am happy to be able to freely print at the best quality now instead of using economy settings to conserve ink. I hope they do not discontinue the subscription plan because without it HP replacement cartridges can be expensive. If your printer offers the subscription plan, give it a try & do the math. It will save you lots of money. Just get the rate that most closely matches your use. If that changes, you can change your rate plan at any time.

I love that this monthly ink plan is intuitive! No more worries about getting to the store and the cartridges are all gone! Looks like I'll be saving money, time and it's hassle-free! Yay!!

HP Instank Ink doesn't get enough credit! Such an amazing program if you generally know how much you print. It seems like even if I let the ink sit there and don't use it for a while, the amount I pay monthly equates to less than it would cost for me to randomly buy ink when I need it. HP sends you the cartidges automatically based on your average printing needs. It calculates. And they send little envelopes to mail back, at no charge, your used up cartidges. If you ever have an issue, HP support is fantastic!

it is a relief to know that our college student will always have the ink she needs for any printing she has to do. Convenient and not expensive in the long run

No need to rush out to the store last minute when you run out ink. The printer senses when you are going to run out and when you go to the mailbox, refills !!! Convenient.
