Quick as a hiccup

It's obvious that this i7, which was recommended to me on a site that was comparing whether it was worth forking over extra for i9 vs. i7 vs. i5, is a leap forward in efficiency of processing. For the record, my workflow involves a lot of high quality audio/video creation and processing, including 1080p/60 live streams to multiple sources. The software I use can either leverage software, tap into the onboard graphics, or use the nVidia card, but the old PC had a less-than-optimal 760 that wasn't going to cut it. This new PC has an RTX 2080, so NVENC should be doable now, but I also wanted to be able to offload to onboard interchangeably whenever it made sense. For this I needed the CPU to be able to thread more efficiently than the previous, and in this it serves very well.

Great, but also power hungry.

Great Performance, Great Thermals

I’m running on a z590 board over clocked, and with the Corsair h150i I stay around 75 Celsius even with extended gaming sessions.
