Q: what is the major difference between this one and Intel - Core i9-11900K 11th?

A: The 11700k and 11900k both have 8 cores. The 11700k has a base frequency of 3.60ghz and the 11900k is 3.50. The turbo frequency for the 11700k is 4.5ghz compared to the 11900k which is 4.8ghz. Both chips are very similar with the 11900k being slightly more powerful but at a higher cost. The 11700k has a better price per performance ratio since it is 150$ cheaper. I am pretty sure the 11900k runs a little hotter so if you plan to get it, make sure you have optimal cooling.

Q: does this support pcie gen 4?

Q: Before I buy this I want to make sure this is a rocket lake series. I am wanting to triple check because the rocket lake series will specifically allow all three of my nve slots to run on my mobo. If someone could clarify this for me that would be great.

A: Yes, read the specs section above... Intel UHD graphics 750 which includes HDMI 2.0 (4096x2160 60FPS), HDCP 2.3, & 4K Ultra HD. The Generation 10 processors do not support these, only HDMI 1.4 (3820x2160 30FPS).
