the item, though expanding your "abilities" with the APPLE USB-C system, is not as good as it could be, for it is not "stable" with your laptop upon it. Indeed, the laptop moves around when placed on top of it. Excellent concept, but poor execution.

Product design is good, even though there are others that are far smaller. It offers all the ports I need to that is good. The flow-through power on the type-c is not high enough for all devices. That is my big issue with this unit.

Bought this to add monitor to my laptop... does everything I need!

I like it but it sometimes has trouble communicating with the computer.

I primarily needed a USB-C to HDMI converor, and liked the idea of having the other options (video, USB, power). However, the HDMI did not work well. I assume that so many shared devices meant bandwidth issues, because my monitor had display issues using this even when it was the only thing plugged in.

Many types of ports, but not as portable as smaller options

Bought this and really like the slim design. Hides well on the desk.

Would have a perfect review other than the fact the Thunderbolt port doesn’t work: of course I didn’t have to use it until months after purchase so I didn’t have the chance to figure it out beforehand. Rookie move check all your ports!!

handy to have all the ports on one device. makes it convenient

Although this docking station doesn't work on my HP computer like I hoped, it's still pretty good. The drawback is that it doesn't charge my HP computer like a tradition docking station does. I found out later that TARGUS is the only one that works on my HP Spectre computer.

This is an effective tool for hosting multiple input jacks.

Display port to hdmi didn’t work with hdmi switch.

Easy to connect and very useful. My wife loves it.

Laptop feet did not line up correctly. Lost connection when the laptop went into screen saver mode. Poor overall design. Would not recommend this product to anybody.

This is a nifty way to connect additional devices to my computer that I couldn’t connect before due to number of available computer ports. Works like a charm, easy to setup and use as well.

Had to return this one due to the fact that it would not communicate out to my external printer when running Parallels. It was nice though and had plenty of the external ports I needed.

Not impressed... the only reason I gave it 2 stars is that it does what it is intended to do... With that being said, I wish I had taken it back and gotten my money back. It is bulky and aggravating. It connects to the computer via a 6 inch usb-c cable so using it with a “laptop” is very inconvenient. The sales clerk at best buy assured me this was what I needed as the MacBook Pro that I purchased only came equipped with usb-c ports. Unfortunately, being new to Mac I didn’t know what I was doing and ended up waiting too long to research other products or I would have returned it and ordered a different product; one that connects directly to the side of the computer without a cord.

You basically have to add this to cost of the new MacBook Pros, since the new ones do not have any of the ports on them, This is a necessity if you have or plan to buy a new 2017 or newer MacBook Pro.

I bought this for my MacBook Pro. It worked well enough for a year, then all of the sudden the HDMI port for my monitor stopped transmitting a signal. I tried different monitors, different HDMI cables, and confirmed all of them worked well when connected directly to may laptop or MacMini. Even downloading drivers from Intel didn't help. Other than that, it was a good hub. Except that sometimes the connections feel a little flimsy, and the fact that I couldn't use a USB 3+ cable with some peripherals (external DVD drive, HDD) with it, I had to downgrade to a slower standard cable. Then it worked.

Just the convenience I was looking for. This sits in my office at work, plugged into all my peripherals. All I need to do is bring my laptop, I don’t have to worry about all the wires. Perfect
