Only benefit, it turns on. Other than that it’s useless for operating monitors, keyboard/mouse either Bluetooth or hardwired. This may work with a MacBook but it is definitely not functional with a windows PC. Buy the dock from the actual PC manufacturer.

Not a fan of this product. Spend the extra money and get a good thunderbolt dock.

Seems like an entry level hub. I decided to purchase a more expensive CalDigit TS3 Plus

I don't recommend this device, it only works mirror display. I don't recommend to anyone.

Unreliable. Would constantly drop connection with yoga 720. Deeply regret blowing a hundred bucks on the " Kids " advice.

Terrible product. I had to replace it in less than a year.

Started out good. After about a week there was no HDMi output. Tested on both Mac and Windows.

Usb keyboard and mouse was choppy. USB Monitor wouldn’t recognize. Returned.

Lot's of money to pay only to find out the HDMI port doesn't work.

I was very nervous to get this hub after reading the reviews, but it's actually pretty good. It works well for how I use it, and it's nice having the options it gives. Here's my setup: I have a 2017 13" non-Touch Bar MacBook Pro, with a 27" LG display (27UK600) and a 25" Dell (U2518D). The LG is connected directly to the MacBook Pro via a USB-C -> Displayport cable (Plugable brand), and is running usually at 3008 x 1692 (the middle scaling on a Mac). 4K at 60hz works with this setup, but it is plugged directly into the MacBook Pro, and the cable is cheap (<$20). This hub is connected to the other USB-C port on the MacBook Pro, with the Dell connected via a mini-displayport->DisplayPort cable, running at 1440p and 60Hz (well 59.88 Hz). I have my speakers connected to the hub, and then..9 free USB-A plugs. So for me, this hub works great. However, I have not tested 4k at 60hz with this hub (which I never run anyway, so no reason to test it), nor have I connected another monitor directly to it (again: Just get a USB-C to DisplayPort cable if you want two monitors, or a certain 4k at 60hz). This isn't a $200+ thunderbolt hub, I don't see the point in reviewing it as such.

Perfect little hub to connect my laptop to peripherals such as second monitor, speakers and USB powered devises. Not only does it have lots of ports, but it is small and fairly lightweight so i can take it along in my bag for travel if needed.

The USB3.0 ports disconnect without touching the device. They will disconnect it you lightly touch it also. I bought this port because of all of the functions. The Video is not compatible with MAC O/S 10.5 +. You can check the user guide on IOGEAR. I have a large amount of data to transfer from a drive that can only be seen on a MAC to one that can be seen on a MAC and PC. It is a real pain to have to keep back tracking to where the transfer got interrupted because this device disconnects. It is challenging just to get the two drives to come up without the other becoming disconnected when plugging in the second. I am going to take this back. Not worth the money. May be another MAC compatibility issue. IOGEAR products are normally very good and I have a lot of them. This was a disappointment.

What else? I don't know. I've had little luck with any of these USB-C docks. This was to be my travel dock, since it is low profile. It was working with a mini-DP monitor yesterday, and now I can't get it to work at all. I've tried rebooting, different monitors, searching for solutions, etc. and there is very little documentation for troubleshooting this device. This thing get HOT too. I'm taking mine back to look for other solutions for my remote office.

Can only connect 1 monitor vs Windows ability to connect 2, SD reader does not work AT ALL. Very disappointed. BestBuy should not be selling this.

Purchased this hoping that this would work right out of the box for my Alienware. All the USB worked but only HDMI or MiniDisplay work at a time, they do not work at the same time. disappointing considering this is marketed as a dual monitor hub. Ordered on off Amazon and plan on returning this.

I purchased this for dual video support, but I was unsuccessful displaying video via the Mini Display Port and HDMI. Also if you had both video cables plugged in then no video would be displayed on either display. I tried this on a Dell Precision 5510 and my new HP Spectre x360 15 2018 laptop and I had the same issue with both. I loved the form factor of this dock, except for the very short USB-C cable. The audio would also make a popping sound every time the laptop was booting up (using the analog connection to speakers). I really wanted to like this, but I am returning it. I did run the firmware upgrade on this specific unit hoping that would fix it, but no luck. There are no drivers on the IOGear website for this device. PROS: 1. Three USB ports 2. Nice form factor. CONS: 1. Dual Video not working on Windows 10 computers. 2. Audio popping (noise) on boot up with analog cable. 3. Very short USB-C cable. 4. Does not come with Power Adapter.

Bought this after I read the issues and then was still informed by a BBE that it should work fine - it doesn't. I mean if you want just a dock this works, but dual monitors don't work. You have to keep replugging in the HDMI when you connect it and even though mDP is supported it does not work. Even being the only input. All this to say it didn't work for my setup: 2018 MBP OSX Mojave; 2 Dell S2340M Monitors

It lacks many things, most of all it lacks any adequate technical support, please read this: "Calling me an Idiot is not going to solve your problem I am aware of the restriction for MAC display and I was making sure that that was not the case so if you like further assistance i can gladly help you if not you may return the product . By the way your problem is that your using an adapter that we cant guarantee it will work you need to have a direct connection." Thank You, Eduardo IOGEAR Service Support So 1st it has no Mac support and no warranty how about that? Mac! God a brand new Macbook Pro lacks the sharing display option! Outrageous. Simply skip on this you know what.
