Very Buggy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When it connects it's great, it never connects on start up, you always need to mess with it to get it to work. It is way too buggy for the price and not something that can be relied on to work. Called customer service, phone rings and then switches to busy signal. Don't waste your time.

Works Great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this because it would be very hard to run an HDMI cord from the control room (surround sound-cable box etc) to where we have a Smart TV above the fireplace. It was VERY easy to install. Signal is great on cable 1080 and 3d signal. I have the base unit behind a wall out of site and it works fine. We have the cable box and Blu-ray as the 2 HDMI "in". I am not taking advantage of the 3rd port where you can run a TV right off the base unit which is another nice feature. The only issue I have with the unit is it loses its signal when we shut off our Smart TV. (even if the cable box is still transmitting) If you have a smart TV you have to turn the unit back on until the boxes resignal. Its kind of a pain to do each time you want to watch TV. (std flat screen no issue with above just leave cable box on)

I plugged it in and it worked.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am setting up a temporary real time video link for my church. We are having a service where we expect overflow attendance. We are using an HDMI camera hooked to the IOGear, and then an HDMI project in the Vestry downstairs on the receiving end (classic New England upstairs/downstairs church). We walked in the door and plugged; the camera to the transmitter, the receiver to the projector, and turned everything on. Within seconds we had real time streaming. We also have audio to the vestry through a separate sound system. The lag on the video was so small it was very acceptable to use the existing sound system with the temporary real time video.

Works Great / Impressed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was a little fearful of this technology. However, it was easy to set up and it works great. Have already recommended to some family and friends. My application is a 2nd floor bedroom source to a ground level outside patio. I would guess about 30 to 40 feet in distance, typical house walls and windows for the signal to traverse.

It worked well right out of the box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up. I tried another brand which seemed to have a bad transmitter, so they don't all work right away. Picture and sound on the receiver are very good. It does drop out occasionaly so I took one star off. I'm transmitting from main floor of house BluRay to the basement TV. CEC doesn't work with this on my Onyko.

Works like a charm!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing really works and there's NO degradation of picture or audio quality. Granted, I'm only slinging the data from about 20 feet away with no walls between, so I'm not sure how the distance would effect it, but for my purposes this thing is perfect.

Gets the job done, but can be wonky
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you don't want to run wires throug the walls this will work, however it does Intefere with my cordless phones which is very annoying. Also cannot be updated via sub, which makes updates non existent. Overall great picture quality and sound.

Very happy with this product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the transmitter/receiver in August and after reading some of the other reviews, I decided I would use it for a few months before writing my own review. Well, I couldn't be happier. I bought a condo that for some reason doesn't have cable connections in the bedroom, and no option to have one installed. I like watching TV in bed before I go to sleep, so this was unacceptable. The wireless transmitter/receiver solved the problem nicely - I am not very technical but it only took me about 10-15 minutes to get it set up and it has worked great right from the start. The transmitter and the receiver are in opposite corners of the house with a wall, and a laundry room and furnace in between the two. The only issue I've had is that occasionally, the bedroom TV (the "receiving" TV) will have sound, but no picture. I don't know why this happens, but a "reboot" -- turning the TV off and back on -- has restored the picture every time. And the picture is much better than I expected from some of the reviews I read here. One of my neighbors who has the same floor plan and the same "no cable in the bedroom" issue as I have, purchased one after he saw how great mine worked, and he is just as pleased with his.

Can Work Very Well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My goal was simple: Employ a rarely used HD cable box in the master bedroom to run a newly installed HDTV in the adjoining master bathroom. Only 20 feet of distance but the signal had to go through three walls and a pretty full closet. Also, I wanted to connect the unit's receiver flat to the wall, and hidden behind the bottom left corner of the HDTV with the IR port aimed down. The system had tested well with the transmitter, receiver, and TV in same room, but no joy with all units in their final positions. That is, until I pushed the included remote's "Source" button which I must have accidentally pressed during the installation. Result: Powerful signal, fantastic picture, and our Comcast remote runs both the HDTV and (via the IR blaster) the cable box. We just point the included remote at the bottom of the TV to fire up the IOGEAR units, and after 20 seconds or so can use the Comcast remote to run the HDTV and cable box. My wife and I couldn't be happier.

Compatibility Issue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this kit along with a Samsung Model UN32J5003AFXZA 32 in. TV to get service out to our porch. Video worked great but had problems with the audio control. Sometimes worked, sometimes had none and other times had sound but no control. TV works fine when direct connected, IOGear works fine with other TV models including a 46 in Samsung, but this combination would not work together, Neither Samsung nor IOGear Technical support could provide a solution. Thought this review might save someone else from spending an afternoon getting service support.

Use the included USB Power Supply.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this at Best Buy for their better return policy. I almost had to return it. I finally narrowed down where the problem was. I have a Dish Super Joey that goes into the transmitter. I have about 10' of hall and then a right turn into an open 10' room followed by a left turn of about 6' against the wall where the receiver sits. The receiver goes into a Sony sound bar and from there to a Vizio TV via HDMI (ARC). At first for a nice clean wiring, I used the included USB cable to power the receiver from the TV. It worked some of the time. Then I wanted to move the receiver, so I used a different USB power supply. That made things much worse. I replaced that with a 1.5 Amp USB supply and that improved things again. After 3 days, I decided that it just wasn't stable enough. Then it hit me! The box has a USB power supply in it that is an ugly wall wort. Maybe I should actually use it! I plugged it in and within 10-20 seconds it was in sync and playing on the TV. It continues to sync quickly after turning the TV off and on. The moral of this story is that the power going to the receiver MUST have enough amps to not only power the receiver, but to make it work right.

Great Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had purchased a new 65" HD 35 Panasonic Plasma along with a new Pioneer VSX52 receiver with the Mirage speakers and 2 Subs. AFter hooking up, everything worked except the 3D picture from my new Blue Ray 3D DVR. After finding out that the HDMI cable installed in our new house 2 years ago wasn't the good quality needed for the 3D signal.. To avoiid having to rip out the old HDMI cable and install the new in the wall, I decided to get the IOGear wireless receiver. Other than having to download the laterst software for both the TV and DVR for the 3D to work, this receiver works like a charm, Clear picutre and simple to hook up. I'm hooked on 3D movies

It works!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This most likely is only the second review I have done for any product. But having such a poor experience with trying to make the Actiontec system work, I had to pass along my good experience with the Iogear. I just connected everything, turned it on and it all worked. So we now have one fewer Dish receiver and will recoup the cost of this in about a year. The only negatives so far are that the instructions are a bit less than detailed as far as operation is concerned and the IR blaster cord is not very well designed. It has three transmitters strung along perhaps 3 feet of cord. For my system, that proved to be just barely long enough to work with one piece of equipment. If I had needed to send remote control signals to other gear, it would not have been long enough.

Worked for me very well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to see my dish newtork TV from my family room to my bedroom, I got an estimate to hardwire HDMI wire to watchin my bedroom cost was too high, so I decided to get this product and now I can watch TV in my bedroom wirelessly even though my receiver is in family room, no issues so far, been using it for 6 months already
