In my opinion there is no ideal wireless HD solution yet. The highest quality options seem to need line of sight. This unit can be placed where you need it and does not need to be in line of sight. I have had 2 generations of the IOgear system and it works pretty well. There seems to be occasional handshake drops between input switching on the receiver but the quality go the video is good.

This was just what I was looking for. I am able to watch TV and my recordings. Got it during Black Friday week at a small discount but still a lot. I will save over time by not having to rent another cable box.

Take all your devices into a bedroom and attach these devices. It's allows you to send signal from another room and use the remotes associated with the devices you've attached. It does lag from voice and video at times. Other than that works great.

Great Transmitter with no signal loss at all! I wanted a means to wirelessly transmit my 3d signal to a projector on the ceiling. It should be noted that there are no walls separating my transmitter and receiver. I have been using the product for about a month and have not experienced any issues at all. I am quite happy with the product!

For once, a product that does exactly what it claims to do. Easy to install and to operate. Connected to the flat screen tv over the fireplace and to a blue-ray player in a media cabinet. Set-up took about ten minutes. High definition picture and great sound quality. Also works with the tv remote.

I originally tried the Monoprice wireless HDMI transmitter kit. It worked fine for about 4 different uses (in 2 weeks). In a panic, I needed this solution for a BBQ I was hosting. I went to my local Best Buy and was pleased to find this IOGEAR set. It has worked great! Simply follow the short list of directions and you'll be on your way. I am using it from my master bedroom (transmitter) to the outside patio (receiver). I've mounted a TV out there and can basically use the cable from my bedroom to entertain folks outside. This works great because no one is ever really in bed while we're entertaining. I'm syncing through a stucco wall, but only 6 ft distance. I have also tested from a 30 ft open distance. My options for my solution were drill through stucco and fish HDMI through outside wall or use a clean (and little pricy) solution like wireless HDMI. The best thing about going this route is easy clean up and you can move it all over the house whenever your situation changes. Monoprice's problem was the software was weak, I believe I encountered a bug that ruined the whole kit. IOGEAR's kit is just solid works with no need to interact with the software. I understand everyone encounters their own problems or successes based off the kit they buy and the way their home is laid out or made. But give this kit a try! Highly recommended from a gadget nerd!

This was the perfect solution to my problem, that being a damaged HDMI cable end with 50ft. of wire buried behind walls and ceiling. It was an easy installation with simple to follow instructions. The units generate a considerable amount of heat so take care to allow ample space around vent holes in case. Picture quality was excellent beyond my expectations. Could not tell the difference between HDMI cable and the wireless connection. I would recommend this product to all who are in the same cable situation. Case Closed, Problem solved!

I bought to use along with a projector and worked great. Rather than have wires from one side of the room to another this was the better alternative.

Great product-- saved me from rewiring in a very inaccessible part of my house. Hooked it up to DirecTV box within a few minutes... Crystal clear HD picture with no interference or problems. I'll buy another!

Super easy install. Up and running in 20 minutes. Sent the cable signal through a wall and across the room with quality and clarity. The only minor issues, takes ~15 sec to sync and boot when starting (not bad really) and a brief delay on audio when switching channels (not bad either). A good purchase!

This product works great as it does what it states it will. there is no lag in picture quality, however if the source video signal goes from one resolution to another, there is a few seconds of adjusting that delays changing the channel. I am happy to have my dtv box and blu ray hidden in the closet. The IR works great too.

I needed something that would let me send a wireless signal from a TWC cable box to a remote TV. Works quite well and actually goes through doors up to at least 30 ft ( max that I could check). I covered both devices with pillows boxes etc and it still worked. I could not check going through walls as I have cinder block /concrete walls and just about any signal has a hard time getting through. All in all I would recommend the device. LIne of sight or open air between devices will give you the best result.

Geek Squad recommended. Had some troubleshooting issues in the beginning, but now working perfectly. You have to make sure the transmitter is positioned correctly to ensure it turns on all components at the same time., Less costly than higher end models and for now working great!
