I initially picked up the Actiontec MyWirelessTV2 transmitter, but was very disappointed with it since I wasn't able to get it to transmit sound. After reading some other reviews, I returned the Actiontec and picked up this Iogear product instead. Plugged it in and it worked flawlessly right out of the box. Very happy with it, no issues, transmitting great 1080p signal with sound. Highly recommended if you don't have a way to run a physical cable somewhere.

Bought the IOGEAR to kick off football season.
Wanted to be able to gather with friends & family and have the option to watch the games outside while grilling, tailgating and enjoying the weather. I absolutely love it!
Great purchase.

A bit expensive. Units are on the same floor, different rooms - approximately 40 feet apart with no line of sight. Very infrequent "blips" - but they do recover and picture returns to normal.

I needed to rearrange furniture temporarily and didn’t want to run a cable wire across the room. This solved the problem and worked as described. There was some intermittent loss of signal which is why I did not give this product 5 stars

I bought this product for escape from cable management. This product works properly and I could be free from cable management. I can move my TV in a room from left to right. Yes, it’s very convenient item!

One of the employees suggested this product with our home theater system. We didn't make the initial purchase then went back the next day and bought it. It makes a huge difference with the projector and glad he suggested it!

I moved into an apartment that only had TV outlets placed high on the walls. Landlord didn't want to have TVs mounted for fear of damaging the drywall. So why place them there in the first place? Anyway, I bought this and it solved the problem. In 10 minutes I was watching my TV, in its stand, on the floor. From what I can tell, no loss of audio or video quality. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Had to return first one because the pass thru to local TV kept cutting out. Second one works fine but not using built-in HDMI switch or pass thru. Instead use a separate HDMI switch. Using for projector. Great picture, no audio lag.

Works well but only at line of sight close distances. after about 15 feet, connection is unreliable. Return first one due to failure to sync. Second one has worked well.

Needed a way to connect our flat panel in our conference room for guest access. We had a conduit under the floor but it was already full with Cat5 and other cables. This solution works perfectly and takes little room.

Bought an Epson 3220e with a built in infrared for my Home Theatre. However that requires the source to be in the view (front) of the projector. In my case the device was sitting on the left side. This caused interruptions while I was watching a game or a movie...very irritating. Complained to Best Buy folks and they came back and suggested that I change the Epson model from 3220e to 3220 and go with iogear wireless device to connect the projector to my reciever. Havent had an issues since!!!

I needed a device for meetings where I could run the presentation from the back of the room. Chrome Cast/Apple TV were not an option due to the fire wall. It works great and so easy to set up.

The hardest part was figuring out where to place the IR blaster sensors on my other equipment. Only think I don't like is the limited distance between the tx and rx unit. Works fine in my backyard though.

This is a great product, a little pricy but you get what you pay for. We used the product to connect our television wirelessly to our home theater. There is no noticeable difference in picture or sound from a wired connection. We did a lot of homework and considered lower cost products and were told by many so called AV Specialist that this application was not possible. We are very happy they were wrong! This product rocks.

I wanted to add a flat screen to an area in our basement but it was going to be complicated because there was no incoming coaxial for cable. I went to my local Best Buy and they recommended this wireless transmitter and receiver as an option. I decided to try it, took it home, and hooked it up. I was literally watching TV in no time.

As an overall Wireless HDMI extender the device performs as described. The only annoying aspect is syncing the transmitter and receiving boxes together. You would think that powering them up would allow them to "find" each other and "sync" but most times it requires "powering down" at least one end (typically I do the receiver) and powering it back up to accomplish this. Once linked they perform well and picture quality, sound, and IR performance is fine. I also have the 5X2 version of the product and it suffers from the same annoying symptom. If the receiver is not in a convenient spot to accomplish this "power cycle" you may want to consider options.
