The Stylus arm does not return to the arm rest after it has reached the end of the album. Turntable does not free spin for cleaning the Vinyl.

Bought this solely to use for my 78s. I got an after market 78rpm needle and can now play all my old records. It does look like cheap plastic, but it does everything it is supposed to.

the turntable is good with good sound but the software you get leaves a lot to be desired. You can't do anything but record, you can't even skip a track, if you stop you have to start all over. I did acquire new software and it works just great

I love music. This device gives me another way to listen to music. I have purchased several records since I obtained this Ion player simply because now I can import records into my iTunes. There's a small learning curve for someone with very limited experience record player knowledge such as myself, but once this was overcome this has become a fantastic way for me to import and listen to some oldie but goodie records.

My main gripe is it doesn't split tracks correctly, and if you have over 10 tracks, it will only allow 11 tops. So now I have to go back and record 1 track at a time to have all the tracks complete.

After reading the reviews on this turntable I thought I'd give it a shot. Got it home, set it up, and thought I would be able to record some old 45's from the 70's. The first 3 recorded with no problem but every single I tried after that didn't make it to the end of the track. The turntable would just stop dead. I tried taking the felt disc off of the disc but that didn't even work. The software was decent but the overall experience with this product was bad. I even attempted to send an email to Ion Audio for any support but that was returned as undeliverable. I'm going to be returning this tomorrow and look at a higher end unit. Do not waste your money on this.

    Poor Performer

Was excited to have the capability to convert vinyl to digital. However, the turntable is so basic (no anti-skate, no tone arm balance adjustments) that the needle will skip or "loop skip" sometimes. It's no fun to be half-way through digitizing a record and have to start over only to have it skip again, maybe somewhere else. And no, it's not the record which plays fine on my Audio-Technica turntable. Just not worth the frustration.

It says it will play 78 RPM records. It will not play them at the proper speed. Followed directions, and tried to adjust it, didn't help. Called the company (ION ) and was on hold for 20 minutes. NOT a toll free call. Spend a few extra $ and buy something that actually works. This is the ONLY turntable Best Buy had :( !
