This is my first Roomba and I was hesitant to buy one, largely due to my skepticism of it's effectiveness. I have to say, it was very entertaining watching it work the downstairs the first time. It actually took a flying leap to get over a low-bar side table leg, then got caught on it. I ended up putting a heavy item just on the other side of the bar and that took care of it trying to jump it again. It also got stuck behind a shelving unit, so I moved the unit a couple inches and it found its way out. It seemed to really want to clean a small area/corner of the living room, again and again, repeatedly going back to that corner, which I found amusing. I will keep an eye on it for the next few cleanings to learn what problems it may encounter and adjust accordingly. As to its cleaning effectiveness, I thought it did a really good job, for what it did cover (there were a couple areas it didn't touch, but maybe that will change as it learns my floor layout). I have 2 labradoodles (and yes, they DO shed some hair, but quite a bit of dander as well) and it pretty much filled its dust reservoir with that type of debris. One thing it did which surprised me is it chipped off little pieces of stonework around my fireplace hearth. It must have been from bumping into it. No noticeable damage to the stonework, however. I'm giving it 4 stars for now. That may change over time.

I have to say I was skeptical when I bought this vacuum , It was on sale so I got it at a good price . After having used it now for around 3 months I'm so glad I bought this. It keeps my floor clean between regular mopping and vacuuming. I would not recommend this one for a house over 2k SQ FT due to the nature of how it moves in random patterns. Also I added Velcro to my base so It can dock easier since adding it has had no issues docking.

I have two long-haired cats, and one big fluffy dog, and this thing is an absolute LIFE-SAVER. It vacuums up all the fur and only needs to be emptied every couple of days. I have it set on a schedule and it vacuums every day at 1pm and docks itself. Does well on both carpet and hardwood. Gets stuck occasionally, but usually I just have to un-wedge it from the cabinet door it opened when it pulled back and it's on its merry way. Love this vacuum.

I live in a "garden apartment", which is a fancy way of saying a basement remodeled into an apartment, so I'm constantly dragging things in from outside. This is particularly annoying in the winter, when I drag in tiny particles of rock salt, which are very hard to see, but always seem to find a way to lodge in my feet. I got sick of sweeping everyday, and bought myself a Roomba for my birthday. It really has changed my life for the better. Rosie, which is what I named my Roomba, gets every little piece of dirt, dust, and debris in the place, even under the bed and couches. The only reasons I won't give it five stars is that it often slams into furniture (but it has bumpers, so it doesn't leave marks), it frequently claims to be stuck on a cliff (there are no cliffs in my apartment), and it occasionally has trouble docking (although I think I solved that problem by putting some velcro strips under the dock so it doesn't shift during docking). For those reasons, I don't feel confident running it when I'm not at home. Those are small prices to pay for a truly clean apartment, though.

I love my Roomba sweeper. I had her on my wish list for years and finally decided to spend the money and it was money well spent! I have back issues and sweeping is very difficult for me - now I just tell her to do it (even using Alexa). She gets the floors cleaner than I ever did! It is amazing to watch her work and to see how much dirt and pet hair she collects. I have 4 cats and the difference is just amazing. I don't think I'll ever manually sweep again!

This is a good machine for daily maintenance and does a surprisingly thorough job in corners and in front of stairs. Where it is lacking is transitioning from a large area rug to hardwood. It tends to leave tracers or large wisps of hair in its wake. Nothing my Dyson stick vac can’t handle in three minutes. This is the only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars. Overall, a very good machine, especially when on sale!

Great vacuum cleaner! Easy to program and it works like a charm...especially on tile and vinyl floors.

I am honestly not impressed. This one doesn't even map out the house. To be honest, it doesn't really pick up in a consistent pattern either. I have two pets that shed quite a bit. I always sweep first then let the Roomba catch water i left behind, and it still misses. I thought the spot clean feature would be cool, but I feel like it just scatters the mess around leaving a mess all over the floor. It also gets stuck all over the house on my area rugs. and on my balcony door ledge. Therefore, I cannot leave it running while i am not home to rescue it so that feature is useless for me. There are other similar vacuumes for a lesser price of which can do more and a better job that the Roomba. I feel like i just paid for the brand name pretty much. Nothing special here.

I love it and it was a great price. I turn it on and let her do her thang. I’ve named her “Florence” from The Jefferson’s. So easy and my dog is good with it. It’s not as quiet as the other reviews reported but I have all wood floors so that maybe the reason.

So far so good. Easy start up. Cleans well. Didn’t pull up rugs, etc. You do have to pick up small things. I love it.

We use our romba every day easy to use pretty much set it and forget it. Just make sure you clean after ea use.

Works well. Won’t go over black rugs. It’s a sensor thing. Other than that does a great job.

We bought this as a replacement to our 1 year old vacuum robot originally from a large online retailer that just died. Died just outside the warranty period go figure. We bought from Best Buy since I am a rewards member. Should have bought this Roomba before. The quality and performance is so much better than the other vacuum. Very happy with this product performance-wise. Also happy knowing Best Buy will back it up if there are ever any issues.

This was our first Roomba product and first robot vacuum. It is a good product but we have a fairly large floorplan and the unit typically needs to either re dock to recharge or have the bin emptied before it can complete the entire job. We have two dogs and it does a nice job of keeping pet hair tumbleweeds to a minimum. Black Friday price sealed the deal.
