We have a pug, he sheds year round, plus we live in South Florida (sand). This Roomba helps keep the dirt and hair at bay before a big cleaning day. Easy to clean collection bin and brushes, and the app on your phone is user friendly. We absolutely love it. It’s a little noisy, but that’s understandable.

We run the Roomba 3 times a week because our dog sheds. The Roomba does a decent job. This model isn't bad. The main drawback is the lack of mapping, which I know is available on more expensive models. My main gripes are that we've had to replace the spinning brush twice because the prongs keep breaking off, and the Roomba itself will inexplicably get stuck on a spot on our rug that doesn't appear to have any obstructions. Overall, not bad for the price. In the future, though, I would probably spend a little more for a model with mapping.

    It does the job

It works, but there are some caveats. First off, you'll need to schedule the thing to run while your at work or sleeping. Otherwise you're better off just vacuuming yourself. It does a pretty good job of cleaning medium soiled low pile carpets and wood floors. Now come the issues. It does seem to get snagged and stuck on pretty much anything it could get stuck on. Throw rugs, Christmas tree aprons, tight spaces, etc. This means it stalls out in the middle of your cleaning (which means no cleaning for the day and a fully drained robot). This model also does not map out your living space, so you're at the mercy of the robot driving around until it bounces into a wall or something and just randomly cleaning until it's about to die. If you can prevent it from getting stuck, it will dock and charge itself, but I haven't been able to get it to run for a full week without getting stuck at least once during the week. That's with cleaning up after the kids EVERY NIGHT so there's nothing for it to run into other than furniture.

This has been a great addition and really does clean very well! The only drawback is it is very loud (especially on hardwood/laminate floors) and it's difficult to run while not home as it gets stuck on forced-air grates as it thinks they're cliffs.

I got this while it was on sale to give it a try, and I was so impressed by how well it actually cleaned and avoided obstacles. At first it seems very random and it’s quiet so you don’t expect that it’s really doing much but after the first time using it, it returned itself to the charging station and then I emptied out the collection bin and holy moly did that thing pick up a lot! It’s voice or app controlled. I also love that it’s low profile allows it to go under furniture and beds. Goes seamlessly from both hardwood to carpet floors. Tip: Before using it make sure there aren’t any objects such as phone charger cables, socks, bags, etc; because they are it’s only weakness and it will probably get stuck! Also love that you can remove the rollers and brushes to clean out and refresh the unit to its original glory. I recommend doing this every few cleanings if you have long haired pets or a have people who have long hair who live with you. I use this all over the house, but I plan on buying another soon along with the mopping unit! 5-Stars!

Works and integrates with android phone well, and picks up dust and lint we never knew about, despite weekly, aggressive housecleaning. Issues [non ciritical]: *The robot is clumsy when docking itself -usually takes several tries, pushing the docking-station out of alignment in its first few attempts. Once in place it charges quickly, however. *Biggest problem / opportunity for improvement is dealing with fringed rugs. *I probably receive a notice that the robot is stuck, on furniture or electric cords, every other two-hour use. *It's pretty loud, so best to run it when you're not home or active in a distant room *Our Roomba 675 arrived without the brush-cleaning tool; I will request a replacement. I've ordered another as a gift for a friend with three dogs.

WOW! Why did I wait so long?

I live in a one bedroom apartment with hard-floors, carpet and two small dogs. We track in dirt from daily walks and this iRobot gets the job done! I cant believe I waited so long to purchase it. I thought I could always do a better job but this saves me time and hassle each day! It makes me consider a robot mop, I clear as much off the floor so 'Mikey' can get as much as possible and he does! The app makes it easy to clean while I'm out on a walk or running errands. The days of fighting my dogs for running and picking in my sweep pile are over! My only critiques are: 1. It could use a bumper as the sound of it smacking every, base board, table, and chair leg is a part of the deal. It's not TOO distracting if you've got background noise going as well. 2. I have long hair and find that it will jam and wrap around the little rat tail of the iRobot so be sure to clear that as well with the tray. Overall, worth the expense and would highly recommend.

    Great vac for the price!

We’ve been impressed with this vacuum in the few months that we’ve owned it. It does a great job on our hardwood floors at collecting the debris from everyday foot traffic. You’ll be amazed, and possibly disgusted, by the amount of dust that this vac collects. It’s not extremely loud, but it is definitely not quiet. That doesn’t bother us, but if you’re looking for a quiet vac bot then you’ll need to increase your budget. There’s been a few times that it struggled to find its way home to the docking station, but that could be from the placement of ours. It also does not like shag rugs at all, but we didn’t expect that it would. It’s more of a quick cleanup tool when your limited on time, physically restricted for whatever reason, or just feeling flat out lazy.

Gets stuck, not push button and forget it solution

I was hoping this would be a push-button and forget it type thing, but it does keep getting stuck under the bed frame, dresser, small area rugs (that are flat), etc. making it somewhat of a pain. If you set it to go and leave, it'll get stuck and not do it's job any more. When it does, it cleans nicely and is easy to dispose of the stuff picked up. When you hit the button for it to dock itself, good luck! If it's not a foot in front of the dock, it'll likely lose battery trying to find the docking station. Again, I was hoping for more. Maybe next one I get will be better than this one.

    Great way to automate vacuuming

I am in no way domestically inclined, so I would previously vacuum around once a week and be surprised how much stuff it sucks up. Now I set this to run every day while I'm at work and all I have to do is empty the little bin. I never realized my cat shed so much until I dump it out daily. I used to wake up to a runny nose, now I don't and now I know why. It does get caught on cords and you need to make sure you don't leave a landmine of clothes or various other things in its way for maximum cleaning. The app will give you a heads up if it's stuck (even if you're at work and can't do anything about it until you get home). If you ever try to figure out the pattern it makes to clean it will drive you crazy, just FYI.

    Basic entry level robot vacuum

Our first robo-vac. It's a basic vacuum, no virtual wall unit or other fancy expensive bells and whistles but it works pretty darn well. It doesn't get everything but then neither do I. I move the dining room chairs and block off areas with pillows and closed doors. We have a mix of pergo, carpet, and rugs and the roomba has no problems with our flooring. iRobot touts that one can use Alexa for voice control and scheduling but "The iRobot HOME App is designed for use on iOS devices running OS 10 or higher and Android devices running OS 5.0 or higher. It is not compatible with desktop operating systems, Windows Mobile OS or Kindle Fire OS." Not everyone a smartphone, or a smartphone that gets reception at home. Why only make the app for a phone???? Much more convenient for me to have an app that runs online or over the internet. So I can only use the manual version, turn it on and off. Some of the other robo-vacs have a remote one can use which would have worked better for us. iRobot recommends cleaning it after each use which we've found to be a good idea. We have to stop the roomba mid-cleaning to check and empty out the bin. We've only run roomba when we are home to watch that it doesn't get stuck, which it has not so far. I love it that roomba vacuums under our bed, which was always difficult for us to clean with our old vacuum. Watch YouTube videos for reviews and tips.

Great price, it does a great job, the only complaint I have is that when I tried to send my Roomba to the base station to charge, it could never find it. It's the only complaint so far, that's why I gave 4 stars.

Does a much better job of cleaning than we were expecting. Responsive and able to navigate rooms without any effort. In the down side, it’s a little loud and this particular model doesn’t come with advanced features of the more expensive models but that was clear going in. The mapping ability, now that I’ve seen how well the cleaning functions work, sound very appealing. These units also require fairly regular maintenance, including cleaning of filters and brushes underneath. Filters once a week or so depending on use, brushes every month. This is our first time using a Roomba and we’re impressed with how well it works. we’re already considering moving up a model.

I bought it for downstairs. I have decent size living area with 3 bedrooms downstairs and a laundry room. I have to close the doors to the bedrooms, otherwise the battery runs out and, as advertised, it does not pick-up where it left off. It also does not give the map of where it has already cleaned. Wish it had an area of coverage I could specify to clean. It's ok for the living area. Our TV is downstairs and kids eat and leave behind small crumbs, so I don't have to pick it up. It cleans-up after us in the living room -- It's good for that small area. It is a bit noisy, keep that in mind as well. I was under the impression that it's a quiet machine.

I had this for nearly a year, so now I can give a good review. This vacuum is a life changer! Helps out so much by being able to vacuum underneath our beds and bedroom furniture. It easily transitions between our hardwood and carpet, has enough battery to do mostly my whole home in one job. Only issue I have is the docking base sometimes moves around and the vacuum won’t connect properly sometimes, might be able to fix that with double sided tape on the bottom of the base. I wish I would have spent the extra money to get the self emptying vacuum and bin, but this vacuum is still pretty good by itself.

My floors are cleaner than ever before. Even under the furniture and the beds. I love the scheduling on the app. I set it to clean around my work schedule. The maintenance is quick and easy. I’ve had it for a month now and so far I am impressed. I’ve noticed it sometimes has a difficult time returning to the base, once it didn’t make it back before the battery died. It sent a message to my phone to let me know! It can take a frustrating route returning to the base after cleaning from time to time but I’ve learned to pay it no mind when it’s in “dock” mode and just let it do its thing. All in all I’m really happy with it.
