It saves time. Does a good job, even repeatedly goes back and forth when it detects an extra dirty section.

although a bit expensive, it really does a good job. we're amazed at how much it picks up when we empty it each time. cuts down a lot on the time we spend manually cleaning the floors.

This is great to run a couple of times a week to keep the dust and dirt down in the house. Excellent pickup for such a small device but make sure you clean it out well.

I love my Roomba. I schedule it to vacuum and empty it. That's as much as I have to do on the vacuuming front anymore

This is a good vacuum to use In between your large regular vacuum

Picks up the dog hair well. The noise bothers me, but is ok if scheduled while out. You’ll still need a manual vacuum unit to get a thoroughly cleaned house.

It doesn't vacuum my entire floor. Also, it won't vacuum our rug.

I must say I was a skeptic on robot vacuums but I am an Engineer and always intrigued by technology. Purchased this particular due to its upgraded cleaning system. We have a Dog so pet hair was an issue. We have Miele vacuum for years and it is great but still hard to keep up with the shedding. I setup the Roomba and wow this thing picked up hair and dust the Miele never did. I set the schedule to run every night and it fills the dust bin every time. Does a great job on the rugs as well which we not expecting. The new rubber rollers work great picking up pet hair and do not clog. We are so impressed and now use the Miele occasionally to complete the cleaning. Believe or not this thing works as good or better than advertised. Worth every penny.

Think if this more as a PSA than a product endorsement... We purchased this Roomba last weekend and I swear it is one of the best "gadgets" we've ever bought! This is a MUST HAVE item for anyone with pets. We have three dogs are are amazed at how much hair it picks up and what a great job it does. I promise, you won't regret it!

I had a Roomba 562 years ago and decided to get another one. I did some research and found the 870 to be a great value. The tangle-free extractors are amazing and work exactly as advertised. Only a few strands of hair got around the part where it sits in the Roomba in the two months I've used it. Other than that there's almost no maintenance involved. You will want to clean the air filter though. In the previous models you would need to clean out the brushes at least every week due to how much they pick up. It is also quieter than my previous Roomba. Overall it's a great improvement over previous Roomba models.

I LOVE this vacuum! I have two ferrets who love to throw food and litter out their cage sometimes. This picks it all up! I also have a rug, which it goes over with ease! I also use it in our kitchen since everyone tracks in so much dirt. I seriously recommend this to anyone with pets, or messy friends! I might get one for my parents! Only downside is that it picks up dirt so well that you may have to empty the reservoir half way through, but so worth it!

I never knew how much my husband loved me until he gave me a Roomba for our anniversary. In the past, he would give me flowers, or boring traditional gifts. They were nice, but the gifts seemed shallow. This past week was our 25th anniversary and I was expecting the mundane silver plate announcing the date of our wedding. While that is nice, it is rather boring and something that I would have needed to dust. I couldn't believe my eyes when my husband presented me with the IRobot Roomba. It was original, functional and an actual robot! Growing up watching the Jetsons, this was always a dream of mine, one of which I never thought would come true! And yes, we did celebrate like it was our honeymoon (wink wink).

Purchased this Roomba Vac, last week, and just love it. Even my husband, who is usally not impressed with things like this, is stunned, at how well it works. We have two dogs, but only one sheds daily, and the Roomba has resolved that shedding problem, which has been a problem for years. Couldn't ask for more.
