The Roomba works well to keep the daily dust and pet hair tidy until you do your heavy cleaning. When a large area is covered, there are many spots that get missed so I recommend to block off areas so it can cover smaller areas at a time.

I bought the iRobot when it first came out. The biggest improvement is the home base. the early models had an adapter that plugged in from the base to the wall plug, like laptop plugs. The older model sometimes had trouble parking in the base because of the adapter. The newer model has better brushes under the unit.

I highly recommend the Roomba. Its definately a MUST HAVE.

Bought the 890 on November 12, 2018 for use in my distant vacation place, which has great WI-FI coverage. Flew it there (3,000 miles) on November 15. Installed and tested, worked great. Made sure everything was operating right before I flew back home. Demoed for my wife as an early Christmas present. On November 25, iRobot pushed out a software update. Install remotely? Sure. Result: dead Roomba 3,000 miles away with no connection to the cloud (my webcam still works fine, so it’s not the WI-FI.) Very expensive paperweight. Wife no longer impressed. When I communicated with iRobot tech support, I got an “Oops. You’ll need to manually reset.” From 3,000 miles away. When I expressed my irritation that they pushed out faulty software, they said they’d offer me a 20 percent discount on some peripheral I don’t need or want. Instead they should have refunded me the difference between the 890 and a non-WI-FI vacuum. Fat chance. So when we get to our vacation place over New Year, we will get to start off by cleaning it and trying to get the Roomba back in service. $400 is kind of a lot for a device that cleaned exactly twice. But at least I won’t have a full bin to empty. Don’t waste your money, at least not until they get their software and customer service act together.

Great vacuum to get the big stuff when you don’t have time to do it. I liked it more before I got my Dyson stick vacuum that works 1000 times better.

Great vacuum to use everyday to keep the house clean.

It is a lifesaver! I love That I can Set up a schedule and it will do it for me! Does good job picking up hair, dust, debris. House has a girl long hair, dog, and two cats! Only regret I wish It was one that Was compatible with the self empty bin! But otherwise I love it I should Have bought one sooner!!

Does clean well and it’s doing what it’s supposed to do.

Works well and doesn’t get trapped behind things. Moves between rooms well without invisible walls. Sends text when bin is full and works with Alexa. To keep in one area with semi open plan, you might want to get an invisible wall.

This is alright for basic cleaning. It tends to crash a lot into items. Sometimes can’t find its way back home. I’ll get a better sense in time if worth the purchase
