works pretty good everywhere except my dark blue full carpet in my bedroom.

Bought this as a Christmas gift and at first the vacuum performed as expected covering the entire first floor of our home; great I thought. For some unexpected reason the device started acting strange and getting "stuck" in different places every time it would run. In many instances getting "stuck" in the middle of a room with no obstructions and plenty of light. Then the vacuum decided to start working with no issue then back to the same issues but adding more, getting stuck on the edge of the carpet/rug and sending a "stuck on a cliff" error. Then the vacuum will work perfectly with no errors however now it isn't even consistent with the amount of time complete the first floor of our home. For example; on May 10 and took a total of 3h and 53m to complete the cycle, on Saturday May 12 it took a total of 2h and 49m to complete the cycle, Monday May 14 it took 3h and 44m to complete the cycle. On May 17 after 4h and 21m the vacuum ended the job stuck under a chair after completing the same path 4 times. Today, I attempted the cycle again however after 6h 35m it was still running and ended "stuck" again. I actually watched the vacuum go over the same path 10 times and get "stuck" in the same location 3 times. For those reading, the floor plan and furniture placement hasn't changed. Completely frustrated and disappointed! If i could give it a zero I would. Going to exchange it under the extended warranty (hopefully) and maybe by the grace of the vacuum gods it will work as expected for the life of the product. If not then it is simply an overpriced gimmick!

Very impressive technology. Does a great job of vacuuming.

Had to return the roomba to the store after 5 uses and exchange it for a new one. After several uses it began to vacuum only in a circle. According to our research on the Internet, many people who buy the roomba experienced this problem. We spent over an hour on the phone with IRobot tech support, with no resolution.

Great for hard surfaces. Not ideal for carpet or rugs.

Roberta is a good robie. Working on Single-Pass mode.
