Look for something else. The fluid tank is so small. refilling is an issue

I am dealing with a 2nd warranty claim because the robot vacuum is not working, and iRobot had been giving me the runaround for over 2 weeks now waiting for them to give me any sort of repair options. Stay away from this company and their products.

I am not new to robot vacuums or even Roomba robot vacuums: this is my third robot vac and my second Roomba. I already had the little brother to this model, the j7 which shares many of the same features. This particular model adds the self-emptying base and mopping feature. Aside from that, I don't believe there are any differences between the two. After finding a new home for this model as it won't fit under my TV stand due to the taller self-emptying base, I fired up the Roomba app and went through the add new device procedure. Since I already had a previous Roomba, I didn't have to go through the entire setup process. The new one integrated seamlessly and after a single mapping run, it already recognized the location of where the base was placed and was reflected on my previously-configured map. Having already owned the previous j7, I was already aware of the vacuuming capabilities of this line of Roomba vacuums. This picks up the majority of dirt scattered throughout the floor and does a good job along baseboards and in corners. It navigates fairly well around furniture and over rugs. I say fairly well, because sometimes it tries to drive over my kitchen dining chairs that have a thinner metal bar that runs parallel to the floor that sits JUST below the bump sensors. I wish iRobot would have extended the bump sensors just a touch lower or that my chair legs were a touch thicker to avoid this hassle, but that's most likely an isolated incident. The mopping capabilities of this unit are limited and should not be considered a replacement for actually mopping/scrubbing the floor. The included Bona solution left streaks on my laminate floor, but I've had issues with this floor and some cleaners in the past, so I can't necessarily fault Roomba or Bona for this. I might try using the Bruce cleaner that I typically use for touchups in this and see how it does. In the end, this is more than fine for touch ups and occasional maintenance, but I would never consider it a replacement for an actual mopping. What I like most about this over it's little brother j7 is that it has the self-emptying base. This allows me to not be concerned with having to constantly empty the dust bin, something I've had to do plenty of with previous robot vacuums. If there was anything bad about this feature, it's that the base vacuum is almost astonishingly loud; fortunately, it only runs for a few seconds to empty the robot dust bin. This is just something to be considerate of if you are planning on scheduling this to run in the middle of the night. Overall, I'm satisfied with this Roomba. The addition of the self-emptying base is a great feature that allows to you to almost forget about the vacuum. I'm not fully sold on the mopping feature at this point, but it should help to extend the need for regular bucket mopping. Additionally, Roomba's app works quite well and is easy to navigate. This is a nice addition to my Smart-home and other connected devices.

After we opened the box it was clear that they did not inspect this open box. Someone clearly purchased it and brought it back and they sent me it with the dirt still inside. DO NOT BUY ALSO DO YOU RESEARCH THIS ONE SUCKS IN GENERAL but if you don't mind someone else trash then this is for you! We got the ECOVACS Robotics - DEEBOT X1 OMNI Robot Vacuum & Mop

Don't buy. Mop function never worked. This appears to be a common problem. Vacuum is full of dust on the outside after vacuuming my carpet. I've had to empty the dust bin manually multiple times.

I like the way the robot vacuum & mop maps out your house, and you're able to teach it not to go where it will get stuck. It cleans great. This is my third Roomba Robot. One of my robots died because it ran over dog poop. The other one I use is in a part of the house where I don't have to worry about my pets pooping on the floor. I know this new one works because my dogs tested it the first two days I had it by pooping on the floor.

Working well on carpet and wood flooring. My dog can shed sll he wants. We have it covered.

I used it for two days but returned it due to mopping device!

Great product makes the inner kid in me feel im living in the future.

It’s worst product and not cleaning properly and unable find location

Both my original purchase and the brand new replacement each stopped functioning after 6 months. At this time, I would not recommend this product.

It doesn't work, it doesn't charge, you don't empty the bin correctly, the mop mode doesn't work and leaves a lot of marks on the floor that make the job worse and the cleaning has to be redone.

Years ago, I bought a first-generation Roomba when they first came out and tried to like it. It couldn’t even climb from tile to a rug with a pad underneath. It was one of my worst ever purchases and my wife hasn’t let me forget that. It sat n the garage for years before a garage sale finally moved it out. Thankfully, this new J7+ is MUCH better. It handles rugs with aplomb. When the dust collector fills, it returns to the dock and transfers the debris to a bag. It also goes back to the dock to recharge (when mopping and vacuuming, it has to stop at least once on our 1500’ downstairs area). The initial mapping took a couple of tries and stops to recharge. I have a 1/2” threshold between the tile floor in the hallway and a wooden floor in my office. Sadly, this defeats the J7+ - it gets hung up midway on the threshold and spins its wheels until it’s rescued. I had to manually block off that area, but fortunately the app makes that easy. None of the small rugs caused it any problem. The thick rug and pad that defeated the first Roomba incarnation was no challenge for the J7+. I couldn’t be happier with the performance of this unit. It really deep vacuums well and doesn’t have problems with obstacles like shoes that weren’t there during the mapping.

Great for first month then completely failed, won’t vacuum or mop, waste of money.

It constantly clogs. It never works well. Worst purchase.

Horrible mop and vacuum!!! The first generation of these are way better than this model.

My dog got sick while I was at work, which is not typical of him, and the vacuum went over all the poop and ruined my big area rug and then spread it all over our living room carpet.

Not so good. It’s struggling to pick small particles on hardwood floors. Most of the time it’s not picking up the small particles.

Only issue it seems it leave spots as a mop. I suspect the wrong fluid mix is being used it kind of has a small tank that cand be refilled from dock station. Combo work is co to watch
