    If you have a dog that sheds, this probably isn't the one for you. I have a shiba inu (a small 20 lbs breed) and sheds seasonally twice a year for about 6 weeks each time. This Roomba cannot handle it. The hair would be stuck at the bottom between the vacuum and the dustbin, and once that happens, it wouldn't be able to vacuum anything in anymore, just uselessly roaming. When I open the dustbin to clean it after it says the job is done, I would find the bin to be empty, but the all the hair would be stuck at the bottom of the Roomba.

    This was recommended for pet hair, but it doesn’t do the best job of removing it from low pile carpet; it just pushes the hair around. As for recommending to a friend, I would if they don’t have carpet or a pet.
