Customers are saying
Customers regard the Roomba e5's cleaning performance, ease of use, and pet hair removal capabilities very positively. However, some users express concerns about its navigation system, noise level, and battery life. The small dustbin size is also a recurring point of feedback. While many appreciate its suction and dirt pickup, improvements in certain areas could enhance the overall user experience.

It’s alright
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s alright. Our space might be too big for it. It does clean well, the spots it’s does hit. But it gets lost in our house and I’m not sure that it cleans efficiently. Goes over spots multiple times and misses others. It often dies near the end of the cycle and does not make it home. Just ok, especially if you’re lazy to vacuum yourself.

Roomba e5
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cleans pretty good. Didn’t think it’d be so loud but it kinda is while vacuuming. You download the app and can do scheduled cleans or just turn on and off away from home.

Works great!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great model for someone wanting to get a robot vacuum but can’t spend $400-500. It works well but is disordered and does not have the navigation so it does not map your house.

LOVE Our Rosie Jetson
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always been very against a Robot vacuum.... thinking it was peer nonsense and a waste of money......BUT...WOW is my Rosie Jetson AMAZING!!!!! I clean for a living and its hard work...last thing I want to do is come home to a dirty house.... blond hair from our 2 labs and a golden retriever all over my dark cherry wood floors!!! I just could not keep up!! So after about 6 months of debating and looking into what to buy .. I choose Roomba e5 or Rosie Jetson as we call her!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her!!!! She cleans so well, easy, makes my life a little easier!!!

Remus the Roomba
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It gets the job done, but if you’ve got cords on the ground it gets stuck sometimes and you’ve gotta pick it up. Every now and again it dies in a random spot around the apartment before it makes it back to its charger station. but considering the fact that we have all wood floors and litter boxes, it picks up whatever the cats kick out pretty well! overall satisfied!

It's a Roomba... It does Roomba things.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works as advertised, decently priced and quiet. The only downfall is that it is a robot vacuum. Still gets stuck in places, doesn't always transition between carpet and tile/wood, dog hates it... that sort of thing. The areas it does hit get cleaned so there is that. To be fair, it is pretty thorough when it comes to coverage. In a room it can access, it will bounce around in there for a long, long time and certainly cover all of it. Of course corners are any vacuums nemesis, and this one cannot get into them well. Get you a dust buster and hit the corners every now and then if you are a stickler for super clean corners. If you are skeptical about getting one of these, I say go ahead and do it. They are good enough that they are worth the investment. It is nice to comes home and your carpet and floors are free of little debris and dog hair. It will at the very least cut down on the amount of cleaning you have to do. The app works well too and being programmable is nice. You can set it to go while you are at dinner or just before you get home every day. You can have it skip a few days if you go out of town.

Good for the price, but wish I spent more
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not upset that I bought this specific vacuum, but if I knew what I did now, I would've sprung for a more expensive one instead. This vacuum does an excellent job, but it does its job very randomly. There are vacuums on the market now that clean far more efficiently, but given that mine basically just cleans up cat hair from our long-haired cat that routinely has tufts of hair strewn about, I think it's doing an awesome job.

Don't look for miracles
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first robot vacuum and I guess I had unrealistic expectations! I don’t understand all the positive reviews on here. I have a small apartment with a living room and dinning room open concept, a bathroom, storage room, which servers as dual purpose for the cats room, and the one bedroom. I keep the bedroom door closed when I run the Roomba. I run the Roomba separately in the bedroom with the door closed (this is the only area it really does a good job). When I used the Roomba to clean my apartment, it rarely finds the storage room or the bathroom. I end up having to place it in the rooms. It just skips those two rooms otherwise. In addition to this - it usually can’t find its way back to the kitchen to recharge. It misses many spots, yet goes over the same areas sometimes dozens of times, while completely ignoring other areas. I rarely, if ever write reviews on here but just don’t understand why everyone is raving about this vacuum.

Better than expected
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cleaning is excellent and it is very easy to use. I do wish it would clean for a bit longer on one charge, but overall I am very happy with my Roomba - worth every penny.

Great robot vacuum
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this when I purchased a new home with two floors and didn’t want to take my vacuum cleaner up and down the stairs. Downstairs is mostly hardwood with an area rug. Does a great job on both the rug and the floors. I have it scheduled to run three times a week and my floors are spotless! I have two cats, one of whom has long hair, and it keeps up with their fur just fine. I can usually get to complete vacuuming’s before I have to empty the dustbin, which is a plus.

Don't buy if you are a stickler for vacuuming
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is vacuum is a decent value if you are looking to enter the self-vacuuming world; however, I want to be clear that this is not a smart vacuum. The app allows you to name it, set a schedule, and send basic commands like pause and go home, but the vacuuming (and subsequent return home) are completely random and chaotic. If you have a hint of OCD, watching the path it takes will frustrate you to no end. The vacuum manages to make it back to the home station about 50% of the time. The other 50% the battery dies in the middle of the floor, sometimes mere feet from the home station. The battery does last the full 90 minutes as advertised, but I have seen the vacuum circle the house for 30 minutes after being told to go home before dying and never making it back. What it does go over, it vacuums well. The maintenance on these is something not openly advertised either. Be prepared to clean filters every day and the vacuum wheels a couple times a week. Nothing is hard to do, but it is certainly more work than my traditional vacuum.

Good little vac
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read countless reviews on these guys and what i've discovered it that it's performance is going to vary based on your environment. I have a small place with not too much furniture and a Husky that loves to shed.. For me, this guy does an outstanding job but my expectations were that it wasn't going to get everything... It gets a lot but as long as you keep expectations in check it will be a great addition to your home.

Smart Robot Vacuum
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roomba e5 is easy to use and is an excellent vaccum cleaner. My hardwood floors look great and feel good underfoot. This robot has taken the tediousness out of vacuuming.

Not worth the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Makes a lot of noise and it does not go around the whole house as promised. My apartment is not big and for some reason it only cleans the living room and goes back home. However, it does pick up dirt from the floor. Do not recommend! It can’t even go back to its base.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son and his wife love it. They have a dog and two cats and this Roomba does a very thorough job of picking all the pet hair up. Carpets left clean and pristine.

Better than expected!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having three children, and generally having not been good at keeping up with vacuuming in the first place, I decided to dip my toes into the world of robotic cleaners. For context, our home is all laminate floors, and we are about 90% of the way through a remodel (some trim elements and such still pending). Setup of the robot was super simple; basically just unpackage, find a good spot for the charger, grab the app, and do some configuration. Cleaning is fairly simple as well, you simply open the app and tell it to clean and I drives around, bouncing off walls and objects, sucking up dirt and hair. It does a better job than I expected, to be honest, and every time I empty the dust bin, there is a surprising amount of hair, dirt, and sand in there. The main drawbacks have been that it occasionally gets itself stuck; for example, if it hits our fridge at just the right angle, it wedges itself in under the door. Also, I realized you do need to do some light "pre-cleaning" before letting it run. Stuff like blankets, clothes, etc need to be off the floor or it will get snagged on them. In my case, that's mainly just being more diligent with my kids on not leaving their dirty socks and shirts around, which is something they shouldn't do anyways, so hasn't been a dealbreaker or anything. All in all, have been pleasantly surprised by my Roomba purchase, and will likely buy a higher end model down the road if this one continues to serve its purpose well.
