I love my i7 Roomba. I had the entry model, but this upgrade is much more thorough and effective. My house, rugs and floor both, has never been so clean. Initially I thought I wouldn’t need the automatic emptying attachment, but I was wrong. The debris holder had to be emptied in the middle of a job, which means I’d have to be home and attending, so I added the attachment. It works perfectly. I’ve been happily running the vacuum 3 times a week in my 1800 square foot apartment. It takes about 5 hours to do the whole place with breaks for emptying and recharging. I can also specify rooms, which cuts the time in half or less. My only complaint is that the app was initially awkward to use, and even though this product is great, it’s awfully expensive.

I am a Roomba fan, and this is my third. My first was a first generation model that has long ago died. I am also using a 600 series Roomba, but it is very loud. This new member of my Roomba family is very quiet and very effective at cleaning. I haven't yet started to use the app to control the unit. I have just turned in on every morning as I leave my room, and it cleans the master bedroom and my den. I cannot believe how much it picks up. With 4 cats in the house, it collects a lot of fur. I love it! The negative is the price. I did get it on sale, but it is pricey.

I wanted to really like this product. I just couldn’t. I have an 85lb german shepherd with tile floors and an area rug. The vacuum was great on the tile but horrible with pet hair on the area rug. It would just leave little clumps of hair on the carpet all balled up. Changing surfaces seemed to be the biggest problem with it. Going over ledges into different rooms would leave dirt and debris at the thresholds. The technology behind it though, fantastic. The app was great and the vacuum worked a pattern and mapped my house out in three uses. If you have a tile or wood floor house with no pets, this vacuum is perfect. If that isn’t your situation then this might not be the vacuum for you. It is a robot after all but the way I expected it to clean for the price of it, I expected way more. And this was also after reading the reviews and doing my research.

Roomba i7 is a fantastic robot vacuum. Its function is well integrated into the app and it is extremely easy to use as it could be done with a swipe of your finger tip. I am surprised by how thorough this robot vacuum can be and satisfied by the purchase. It is a bit pricey compared to other brands.

great product but a little bit pricey...gifted this to my cousin and they love it...cleans good and has a lot of things that you can program according to your needs...works with smartfone too...

It hardly ever gets stuck, it texts me every day if it does get stuck or when the cleaning job has been completed. The house has never been cleaner. Just wish it wasn't so expensive. Is it worth it? We'll see how long it lasts.

Works better than I could’ve imagined. Makes vacuuming as simple as pushing a button! A bit on the expensive side though.

Good, but not great. You'd think these would be by far the best robot vacuums available, but the Roomba is much louder and more expensive than a much cheaper brand that we are also using. It does a good job, but really expected more from our 2nd Roomba purchase.

Purchased this after receiving & returning what appeared to be a “used” Roomba 960 model. Love the i7 model so far however, it was $100 more expensive but appears to be worth the difference.

I am loving this product. It has definitely cut down on my clean up time. Took about 3x cleaning cycles to learn my house before I could set it to clean a specific room. 4 stars because it is Kinda pricey otherwise I would give this product 5 stars

Better use of it’s time than our old one that just wandered around until it bumped into something. Just wish it wasn’t so expensive.

I (my wife) was on the fence for a long time about getting a robot vacuum. She didn't think that it would do a good enough job compared to our regular vacuum. I finally convinced her to give it a shot because of Best Buy's 45 day return policy. Decided to go with the i7 because of the advanced camera and tracking over the cheaper models. Well, we are about 2 weeks in and she is sold! There is nothing better than coming home to clean floors! We have two small dogs, so we get quite a bit of hair in the carpet. This Roomba picks it up with no problem at all. We have very nice and think carpet too, doesn't have a problem with it at all. We have it programmed to run MWF to clear our downstairs while we are at work and we carry it up to the second floor on the weekends. Another reason to get the i7 is that it has the ability to save multiple floor plans. So when we bring it upstairs, it automatically knows where it is and where to clean. Price is kind of steep, but we think it is well worth it.

Owned the Roomba 17 for less than 1 year. The iconic service code 26 popped up and recommended to change parts that cost over $150. This is clearly an over priced toy with small crappy motors that last for a short duration before failing. I highly recommend to stay from iRobot and not purchase this item. Company will try to make good by offering a coupon to buy another one of their products. Not interested!
