Bought it at the end of 2018 intending to replace at least one of two Roomba550s that were getting tired. The i7 was constantly complaining asking to empty the dust bin and after one week started to loose the acquired map of the floor. We would run it in the re-mapping mode and the next day it would forget it again. Also, this robotic vacuum uses camera for the initial mapping and for its navigation. This camera needs lots of light and refused to work with just a single bulb per room. As you can imagine, a single "feature" would be just an inconvenience but their combination created a feeling that we are working for this robot that we hired to work for us and instead complains, forgets directions, and makes it easier to clean by hand... Returned.

Notifications for an iPhone controlled i7 Roomba would be very helpful. But on iPhone they don't go out. The i7 seems to bump into things more than the Neato D7. The XAIOMI seems to have a great laser system but looks like you have to send it to China to get it repaired.

After a year of using this $900 robot successfully, it now travels less than 10 feet before stopping and the light indicates red. I’ve dissembled and cleaned throughly and replaced the filter with a new one. Still no change. Customer service is non existent. I’ve called numerous times only to remain on hold listening to a recording that says “you’re hold is less than 30 minutes” An hour of this is just not reasonable.

I was very excited to purchase my first Roomba vacuuum. I decided to purchase the i7 for specific new features that have been added such as SmartMap. Unfortunately, these very features do not work! The options are grayed out in the app and Roomba has notified me that there are software problems and they expect to release a patch in 3 weeks. This product was clearly not ready for sale, and I have been very disappointed that the advertised features do not work and I am spending my time trying to figure out what to do and contacting support for help.

Worked great for about 3 weeks, except it doesn't push the trash into the bin like it is supposed to. It has gotten worse as time has passed, and now it won't clean a 3150 sq ft house in 10 hours.

Don't buy the i7, it is a failed design. iRobot has even omitted to this as it cant do corners. This is why iRobot created the 9 series, don't waste your money and simply get the Neato a better version of the 9 series.
