Works great at vacuuming carpets and hard surface flooring, and it avoids obstacles well. The auto empty bin works well also. Maintenance has been easy so far. One complaint: the battery on the robot is underwhelming and the robot has to return to the base station multiple times to recharge in order to clean my entire floor plan in one job.

Fantastic piece of automation equipment. I don’t have the mop version but it definitely does its job. The cost is also reflective of its performance. The only thing is that when it empties the bin, it’s really loud. So if you have it running during the middle of the night, it wil scare you to death. Just beware

Absolutely the best robot vacuum experience. I've had zero issues. It's not the cheapest in it's class, but when it comes to robot vacuums, you definitely get what you pay for.

Awesome Roomba Vacuum! The fact that you don't even have to empty the machine is such a time saver and makes it so easy. As with most robots it does have to learn where no to go but you can easily set up border sensors. Otherwise, it works great, and I've had no issues. I also only change the bin disposal bag every month.

Cleans floors well and is very good at avoiding and learning to avoid obstacles that could get stuck in the rollers or get tangled up in the edge brush or wheels.

Our "Robbie" the robot vacuum does a great job keeping the floor clean. Easy to setup and use with the phone app. The automatic empty feature is great.

This is a wonderful device. It is a major upgrade from its predecessors. I would definitely recommend this product. I'm saying this with reference to the discounted $359 price tag. If this was listed at the full $700 price tag, I would call it expensive. Avoids wires as they claim.

Very effective with dog hair (golden retriever x 3), but it sometimes has trouble docking to charge. No hair tangles yet, which was a constant problem with previous robots.

I upgraded to this model for a 600 series roomba( can’t remember the exact model) after it stopped working. We have two dogs, one of which is heavy shedder, and live in the woods. There always seems to be something tracked in. After using this for about 3 1/2 weeks, I am impressed! The mapping took three runs (1400 sq ft), I set the schedule I wanted, and it has faithfully completed its tasks! I just swapped the initial dust bag yesterday, although it hadn’t told me to yet it seemed pretty full. With the dogs, I do clean it up more frequently than most people would have to. We have refinished hardwood from 1952, laminate, and tile floors. We have some area rugs also. It does great on my”good” rugs. On the one utility type mat it does leave chunks of dog hair, which is okay because it at least makes it easy to pick them up. Everything thing else gets cleaned very well. Yes, the empty is loud, but it only lasts about four seconds. My three year old and two month old granddaughters sleep right through it. I got this on sale for $200 off, and it is worth every penny. I did not have a bit of trouble connecting to WiFi or keeping the connection. I would highly recommend this product.

Very epic expect it would randomly stop working half the time saying there was a clog but I took it apart just for like a small piece of lint to be blocking the sensor.

I have a 3 story house and 4 dogs. It's hard to keep everything clean so I've been a big user of robotic vacuums for a long time. I have one on each floor of the house. They run 3x a week and I follow up with a more thorough vacuuming about once a month. The system works well. I had Neato vacuums for a long time, but they got bought out and the quality went out the window. I think they are out of business at this point. I made the switch to iRobot Roomba J7+ units about a year ago. I have 3 of them. Things to like about the J7+ includes the mapping function, camera avoidance system, and the docking stations. The vacuums are amazing when it comes to the tech involved. It takes a few runs, it it maps the house incredibly well. The app works nicely with maps allowing you to selcect areas to vacuum and areas to stay out of. The debris avoidance cameras are great too. If there is something in it's path, it moves out of the way instead of charging over it and getting stuck. This is great for dog toys, socks or anything else of a detectable size. The units vacuum pretty well and empty themselves in into the central bin when done. It's a nice system. The downsides? The replacement parts- batteries, brushes, filters, and bags are ridiculously expensive. I gave up buying the iRobot branded accessories due to cost. You can get the generic versions for 10% of the cost in some cases. Performance wise, they advertise the J7+ as pet friendly and able to clean up pet hair that gets everywhere. This is completely false. It does great on everything-carpets, hardwood, vinyl, etc- but it does NOT do even a halfway decent job with pet hair. It picks up the hair, wraps it into little 'rat tails' and leaves them all over your carpet. On your carpet if you're lucky. Twisted into your carpet if you're unlucky. The vacuum finished it's job and my carpet is covered with pet hair rat tails. I then have to get the larger vacuum and vacuum them all up. Or get on my hands and knees to untwist them fromt he carpet fibers. It's a pain. Do I recommend the J7+? Sure, only if you have no pets. If you have pets, run far away.

You may be playing with the idea of acquiring a roomba to vacuum on a schedule or while away, maybe to deal with pet hair, or allergens. This robot vacuum is unfortunately subpar and I don't recommend it. Positives are few: the mapping ability allows it to actually perform its function in principle (unlike the roomba we had before that didn't have mapping and would move Brownian-motion style until it inevitably got stuck under furniture), the base can be moved and it is capable of mapping more than one zone in your house, such as downstairs and upstairs. Negatives unfortunately outweigh any positives: first of all, the quality of vacuuming is very shoddy, and the robot has issues with errors at least 75% of the time. My favorites? "There's a clog" when there isn't one, there's a problem with the cleanbase, the "bag is full" when it isn't, or the robot is stuck near a cliff. Also vacuuming one floor in our house can take hours and hours including charging when it runs out of power after a while, and I don't trust it to vacuum when I'm away which defeats the purpose of a robotic vacuum. Overall a good idea exceptionally poor executed. Stay away.

I am very pleased with my iRobot. The double rollers do a great job cleaning. I love the bag. I have had a robot that didn't have a bag. It was a messy job to empty it. This iRobot goes over the carpet in different directions, which is a super cleaning. I would recommend this robot vacuum

Does a great job cleaning my apartment. I have a dog that sheds a lot and often "attacks" the roomba. It has been able to take this two front assault with ease (all while documenting the assault with pictures, 'unknown object in path'). Maybe once or twice a month does it have issues do to hair/dust build up that requires manual intervention. The vacuum bag needs replaced maybe every 2-3 months which is quite impressive for how much hair it collects.

This roomba robot was our first and we are very pleased with it. It does a good job. The mapping process takes way longer than an hour as the book says but it worked. My only complaint is the battery runs low fairly fast, but based on my reading its very common.
