It works very well if you take care of it and do the reviews on the app so it gets a better idea for the layout of your house.

Upgraded to this from a eufy robovac x8 hybrid The bad: Oversimplified controls & app interface ironically make the whole experience interacting with this robot less intuitive, more time consuming, and more cumbersome to help it recover from an error. There’s a singular button on the device and the long-press to send home doesn’t always seem to register. I found the audible errors from our previous uefy robovac a little annoying, until I realized that the lack of audible errors on this model mean you have to rely on your phone to know what’s going on with the vacuum. The lack of audible errors & the singular button (that almost feels useless) really make you feel “disconnected” from this vacuum (lol). The lack of lidar on this model means it ONLY works in daylight or with the lights on. We used to run our previous model overnight so we had to adapt to running the vacuum during the day. It occasionally drives itself onto the dock at angle, getting it stuck and unable to charge. It still somehow gets stuck on curtains from time-to-time, even with the visual navigation. The good: The auto empty dock means i only even have to interact with the app or the vacuum when there’s an error. It doesn’t run over our cats’ toys and get itself tangled.

I love this new addition to our family that makes my job easier. This vacuum runs daily and picks up my shedding labs fur. I have had similiar vacuums in the past but they didn't do a good job missing lots of areas. I can even have Alexa control it which is nice. I love that it empties itself also so i do not have to worry when I am out of town!

Keep the floors clean & the option of schedule clean is really nice

This is our first robot vacuum as we wanted to wait for improved technology like obstacle avoidance since we have pets, one of which is a very bad cat. So far, Charlie (our robot) has been great. We did have an issue with our Empty Base; it never worked properly and ended up having to be sent back to Roomba after owning it only a week. But now that issue is resolved, hopefully we will have no more problems! Charlie does a decent job vacuuming, misses only occasional fluffs of fur, and always finds the way back to the Empty Base. One of my favorite features is the Keep Out zone, making it easy to block off areas that we don't want Charlie to vacuum. We definitely recommend this purchase, although I am still concerned about the malfunctioning base issue and hope that was a one-time occurrence.

We looked at many different reviews of several models/brands of vacuums and this was supposed to be one of the best. However, that is not the case. The suction isn’t very strong and it misses a lot. Plus, this vacuum cleans like it’s drunk. It refuses to clean an entire room before moving on. There isn’t any manual control either in the app. My wife and I both regret buying this vacuum since we both have to end up going behind this vacuum with our main vacuum cleaner to get what it missed. This vacuum is not worth the price their asking. This a $150-$200 vacuum cleaner at best. Save your money and do not get this vacuum.

Vacuums were well but battery life could be better

Love my Roomba. Makes cleaning up so much easier with a dog and cat. I’ve had to remove the filter a couple of times when the base wasn’t able to suction all debris properly. It was a quick fix. Only complaint is I can’t get the voice control to work with my Alexa but that is minor. I like that it also allows you to review obstacles - the car likes to make an appearance in numerous review pictures. Overall very happy.

Cleans really well. Works as advertised. It has only gotten stuck a couple of times on a shag rug, but I forgot to stop block it in the map.

As a pet owner with two active cats, I've found the Roomba vacuum to be a near-perfect solution for keeping my mixed hardwood and carpeted floors clean. The Roomba's ability to transition seamlessly from hardwood to carpet is impressive, effortlessly picking up the cat hair and the usual debris that comes with indoor pets. Its sensors are quite adept at navigating around furniture and avoiding drop-offs, which is a relief in a busy household. The added convenience of scheduling cleanings through the Roomba's app means I can have the vacuum running while I'm out, ensuring I come back to a clean, fur-free home. The cats were initially curious, but they've since grown accustomed to their new, quiet roommate. However, one downside is the size of the dustbin. With two cats, it fills up quickly, necessitating frequent emptying. This is a minor inconvenience in what is otherwise a fantastic cleaning tool. Overall, for any pet owner struggling with fur and the daily messes that come with pets, the Roomba offers a hands-free, effective cleaning solution.

Excellent vacuum-thorough cleaning pattern, intuitive app is easy to setup/use/& get robot cleaning data from, robot is easy to clean & maintain. This is the best robot vacuum I’ve owned. It truly seems built for mostly maintaining itself & doing an excellent job of cleaning. We are a family of 3 with 2 cats & 1 dog. Our floors & general dust level from tracked in debris & fur were frustrating to maintain w/o the time to vacuum daily. Before setting up the robot, I cleaned everywhere thoroughly. Then, I ran 2 mapping runs. Since then, the robot has maintained everything to a high degree. I just touch up the few places the robot wouldn’t be able to go once a week. I run the robot 6 days a week & we have no visible debris or fur on the floor & the general dust on surfaces is minimal. Mopping is easy now,too, because the floor is already vacuumed whenever I’m ready to do it. I appreciate the photos of obstacles it sends at the end of each run & the ability to tell the robot if it’s temporary or needs to be zoned off. The app makes this very easy. My family loves it & it encourages us to keep things tidy, so we can enjoy clean floors.

My J7 work pretty good. It doesn’t have the greatest suction on my hardwood floor but it does an ok job. But I really do enjoy the camera taking pictures of obstacles.

Some time get stuck. Keep hitting furnitures several times before redirecting by it self. this model supposed to see and avoid obstacles, but often it hits the obstacles before turning around. I am afraid Roomba mag damage some of my delicate furniture. I wish it’s keep out of obstacles before hitting it. Overall I am okay with it so far.

Purchased the iRobot Roomba j7 for my mom for her birthday to help with an easy, hands free way for her to keep her floors tidy. Love this product and very easy to set up!

We bought one of these for downstairs and it was so great, we immediately bought another for upstairs. It is able to map the floors and know where to go, and it also avoids things on the floor (including our cats who can't be bothered to move). It can also be programmed to just get rugs on certain days, or a problem room every day or a full house vac.

Great vacuum. With two cats we run the vac daily. You do have to do leg work and clean it weekly but it's a great purchase.
