The fact that it has the camera to ID obstacles and is self emptying is what sold me. Not too loud when it runs but does sound like a jet engine when it empties which is only for a few seconds. These seem to have come a long way and its a nice addition. Not a full replacement for a vacuum yet though.

This is the best Roomba I have ever owned. Before this one, we owned a 900 series and a 600 series, and they cannot even compare to this one. We were battling massive amounts of dog hair daily. Now, we don’t. I was constantly having to empty the 600 and 900 series Roomba. The 600 series was always clogged up with hair around the rollers and the 900 series had to be cleaned every single time it vacuumed for even a few minutes, including the sensors having to be wiped down after even vacuum. That was so beyond aggravating to have to keep up with doing every day. I have this roomba j7 vacuum set on a schedule, and it goes out every single day and vacuums and goes back home to charge itself and empty itself. It goes back out as many times as it needs until the job is done. I don’t have to do anything now that I have it set up. I also love the mapping. I like that I can send it out to vacuum in one specific area if needed or schedule it to hit one area more than one time a day. I cannot say how long its performance will last, as I’ve only had it for about a month, but so far, it has been perfect. Also, I have all hard surface floors with no rugs, so I don’t know how it works with rugs and carpet. One final thing, when it empties, it sounds like a jet plane about to take off. It is so incredibly loud. Keep that in mind if you need a quiet house for babies sleeping, while you’re working from home, or any other reason. It takes about 10-20 seconds to empty.

Cleans downstairs and helps so we arent sweeping a couple of times a day. It takes a little to get used to with their app alerts and learning how the machine will take the terrain in your home. The pup is funny around it but he is funny about everything. No regrets

This is my 5th Roomba. I've owned them since generation 1. This is my 3rd one with a cleaning base, and my first one with the wide cleaning base style. I have owned this Roomba for around a month, and twice so far it has reported a sealing error. The first problem, I think, was related to dog kibble that the Roomba had found. It was unable to evacuate it from the collector. My previous i7 never had that problem. The second time it reported a sealing problem, I was unable to find any issue and resorted to calling iRobot who first blamed it on placement (except my Roomba has literally been in that same spot for like 5 years), and finally told me to reboot everything. Rebooting seems to have "fixed" it, however that doesn't explain what happened in the first place. I remain cautiously optimistic. The front facing camera seems to help prevent problems with cords and other obstacles, and the upgraded cleaning algorithm cleans faster than my old i7. It also seems to have found more fine dust particles than my old i7, because I see it in the bin. If the sealing issues weren't a concern, I'd give it 5 stars.

The iRobot Roomba j7+ was easy to start using right out of the box. After cleaning the whole house a couple of times and making a map of our home, it allowed me to label individual rooms so I could just tell it to clean certain rooms if I wanted to. This vacuum is very powerful and gets the job done! The app is very easy to use.

I love this vacuum! I have hardwood floors with low pile rugs and it does a great job of cleaning. The mapping is pretty accurate and easy to pick specific rooms that you want cleaned, and avoiding areas you don’t want cleaned. It will run for about 90 minutes then recharge and finish the job (if needed). The only drawback is that it’s LOUD, especially when the bin empties.

The J7+ works amazing for normal home use. Unfortunately I have shag carpet so it wasnt as great as I wanted and had to upgrade to a more powerful suction. The opstacle avoidance technology is great. The app is not as good or informative as others unfortunately.

The iRobot Roomba j7+ (7550) has transformed my home cleaning experience. Easy to setup and easy to schedule. Keeps house clean from pet hair and dander. I love my Roomba.

Very epic expect it would randomly stop working half the time saying there was a clog but I took it apart just for like a small piece of lint to be blocking the sensor.

I had a shark matrix for two years and after purchasing this, I would probably never buy a shark again. It works great. It’s easy to clean and it doesn’t get stuck like the shark does. I have a long haired dog in the house and there is no issues with pet hair, other than having to clean the rollers about every two weeks

Excellent robot vacuum. clean the whole house in various sections. The only problem is that when connecting to the dock for the self-cleaning process, the sound is very loud that terrified my dog, almost on the verge of a heart attack, although that noise is only for a few seconds. I have thought about returning it or doing an exchange due to the noise. But it works efficiently.

Overall amazing cleaning with some flaws - it has a camera which is supposed to watch obstacles but it still keeps on hitting objects during cleaning. Also it does get lost sometime during navigation and takes longer to clean.

Love our Rumba. It’s amazing how it knows not to go down the stairs or bang into things. I was constantly cleaning the floors. Don’t need to think about them anymore. The iRumba does a great job getting under all the furniture and picking up any dust or crumbs from floor. Best thing is picking up the hair from the bathroom floor.

It is rare for me to be excited about a product, especially a vacuum cleaner, yet I have to say this has been an incredible help. My floors are cleaner than they ever have been, despite weekly cleaning. My allergies that kept me awake at night are dramatically improved. Yes, it takes some getting used to and setting it up, but well worth the time and effort.

Got this as a gift for my mother. She is a bit less mobile nowadays, and this was a perfect gift to keep her home clean and does not require her to move too much. Took a few times to program the map in the house, but once it was set, cleaning has been a breeze!

This is our second iRobot vacuum, but the older version actually seems smarter than this one. Yes it detects some cords and avoids objects, but that prevents it from doing a thorough cleaning of our space. The older model cleaned edges better because it went back around all of the perimeter at the end. The emptying is very loud when it returns back to the base and frequently gets clogged. The sensors for charging need to be cleaned frequently or it won’t charge on the base. I love that it will do some of my daily vacuuming, but I typically still need to get the Dyson out to finish the job.
