The product is a relief to have around the house. Scheduling while we’re out to vacuum and coming home to a clean area is wonderful. We got it because our puppy tends to try to eat everything and tends to have a sensitive stomach so we had to get something so we didn’t have to constantly try to vacuum every single day.

Mapping is a little time consuming but worth sine it once mapping is done, you can take advantage of automated cleaning via schedules. The iRobot Roomba j7+ avoids obstacles and learns from them to become a better cleaner. We have over 2000 square feet of dark wood flooring on the main floor of the house which shows everything (dust, hair, crumbs) and the j7+ does keep them looking like they were just installed. First robot vacuum we have owned and satisfied so far.

I absolutely love my Roomba, it cleans up all the pet hair and everything thing. Never goes over anything that’s units way. It takes a pic and lets you know that something was in its path so you can clear it. I love it.

I’m very pleased to now own a Roomba. After almost 65 years of vacuuming for my mother and then me, I finally purchased this little treasure, Mabel! She was easy to set up, then after mapping, I watched her go to work. Thank you, Mabel, for being my special housekeeper (if only I could teach her how to dust!

I love this thing. I have tile floors downstairs in my home and I also have 2 dogs that have free run of the downstairs. I figured tile would work good with dogs rather than holding in fur like carpet does but my tile shows everything. I bought this and have it run daily in the morning. It runs for about an hour and a half then goes home to charge and then back again for about an hour for my 2,600 sq ft floor. It does get stuck sometimes under the kitchen table but I think it’s still learning. Overall it saves a ton of time and energy by just going about its daily business and the dog hair is basically gone! It’s also pretty quiet, a lot more quiet than a regular vacuum so my dogs don’t really mind it while it’s running around.

This is a fantastic robotic vacuum. We had purchased approximately five of the Neato brand products and had marginal success with them. Neato eventually went out of business and we could no longer get support for their products. We switched over to the iRobot j7+ with automatic dirt disposal and it is a complete game changer. The product simply works great. The auto disposal feature is a tremendous improvement over models that do not have this feature. The system does a very thorough cleaning and also is very reliable unlike other products we had previously purchased. We are moving to a new home with a second floor and plan to purchase another unit to maintain that floor.

I've had this vacuum since Christmas. Haven't had to empty the bin yet. The app is easy to use and the vacuum tracks well without hitting any objects. The automatic emptying does sound like a jet taking off but it's only for a few seconds.

I researched robot vacuums for way too long before finally making this purchase. I've had it for around 4 weeks now and it has been a total game changer. We have two large dogs that shed constantly. We have our J7 set to run every day at 11am. When we get home there is never a trace of dog hair on the tile throughout the house. I t works perfectly on our tile floors. It does fairly well on carpet, still find some loose dog hair here and there. But, for our needs we have mainly tile floors and this vaccuum is perfect. The custom mapping of our house is also a really great feature. I can tell it exactly where to go and vacuum if we need a touch up. Great buy overall!

Fantastic piece of automation equipment. I don’t have the mop version but it definitely does its job. The cost is also reflective of its performance. The only thing is that when it empties the bin, it’s really loud. So if you have it running during the middle of the night, it wil scare you to death. Just beware

I have 3 Roombas (s9+, J7+ & much older model). The j7+ has superior mapping and of course great object recognition when compared to the s9+. I have had zero issues with the j7+ and if you mixed flooring (carpet, hardwood, LVP) this handles it all. I recommend the j7+ over the s9+ (the s9+ has greater suction power but it lacks the object recognition and I find that I am constantly cleaning the air filter and onboard bin, it does not like "powder - think baby powder - of any kind. I plan on buying another j7+ but Buy Best is out of stock.

The iRobot Roomba J7+ is a pretty powerful little machine. This is the second automated vacuum that maps out the home, so most of my comparison will be to that rather than a traditional upright. My previous automated vacuum was from another brand, and did not have a self-emptying bin. The Roomba J7+ is slightly louder than our previous automated vacuum, but quieter than a traditional upright. The noise level overall is fine, and comparing it to my previous robotic vacuum the Roomba does a much better job at picking up the dirt. We pretty much have laminated flooring, tile and rugs throughout the house, the vacuum has no problem with the transition between any of the flooring so I don't need to baby sit or move anything off of the floor in terms of rugs or mats. The vacuum was pretty quick at mapping out the space, and you can notice areas it avoids such as cabinets, couches or litter boxes since it will not account for this space. Roomba J7+ is pretty good about finding cables, it will mark out every cable it notices on it's adventure. Most of the time I will just tell it there is a temporary obstacle here, since it usually spots the cable for a fan we have to give the dog a cool spot during the summer, being a husky in the desert. There is a little spot in the restroom that has a bench style mirror which we hide the litter box under also, the Roomba avoids the litter box, but somehow thinks it transitions from one room to the other under this space, it didn't go into the space since someone shut the door so it's not green in my screenshot, however I circled where the door is, put an oblong over where there is no entry and rectangle the counter. I need to check out if there is a way to modify, otherwise I may simply see if I can erase the map and have it start a new. The Roomba app is a little nicer than my previous vacuum app, I am able to mark dividers for rooms, label each room and create Keep out zones or clean zones. I had created a keep out zone based on the suggestion after the cleaning, however I have mostly set up the dividers and labelled the rooms. You can create cleaning schedules, which I have set for the Roomba to just clean everywhere at a time during the week when I know no one is home. I did create a new job in which I selected high traffic areas like the entry, living room and hallway to keep these clean when a everywhere cleaning is not required. The vacuum has more than enough battery to clean our place and conveniently empties the tray once completed. The emptying of the bin is the loudest portion of the cleaning, which sounds more like a traditional upright. Overall I am very happy with the Roomba J7+, it helps us keep our space clean after whatever dirt the kids or pets bring it, and it is noticeably cleaner than the competition when walking around barefoot. I would definitely recommend the iRobot brand, just need to play more with the app but happy with this vacuums ability to clean!Less

It helps keeping my floors cleaner, however, is too bulky to fit under certain furniture, and is too loud.

Good Roomba does better than my old one, and the docking station helps the Roomba maintain the floor. Not to confuse with maintenance free, occasionally you will need to clean the brushes out because it won't empty but it keeps it from being a daily thing. Does well on hardwood and laminate floors But it is very expensive I can't say I wouldn't try another brand next time.

Awesome Roomba Vacuum! The fact that you don't even have to empty the machine is such a time saver and makes it so easy. As with most robots it does have to learn where no to go but you can easily set up border sensors. Otherwise, it works great, and I've had no issues. I also only change the bin disposal bag every month.

So far is has performed admirably and the intelligence is a little too good :-) Floors stay clean, it doesn't bang around like my previous cleaner did, and takes care of itself.

This is a wonderful device. It is a major upgrade from its predecessors. I would definitely recommend this product. I'm saying this with reference to the discounted $359 price tag. If this was listed at the full $700 price tag, I would call it expensive. Avoids wires as they claim.

Back to basics. No need for excessive care or expert knowledge.

Cleans carpet and tile pretty well. Doesn't like to pick up any string or hair. The base makes a high pitched noise almost all the time, not sure if mine is defective. Find myself having to unplug it when not in use. The app is easy to use and has good functionality. Sounds like a shop vac when emptying.

Very effective with dog hair (golden retriever x 3), but it sometimes has trouble docking to charge. No hair tangles yet, which was a constant problem with previous robots.

I love this item. Actually have two in the house, one on each level. One level is all hard flooring and the other all carpet. I also have 4 pets, 2 dogs and 2 cats. Both units keep things very clean on both hard floors and carpet. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the obstacle detection. It works most of the time, but I have had a few issues with wires on carpeting. Of course it is awesome to have this option and has been pretty reliable. The app is great and scheduling is another great option as well.
